Los Angeles Marches in the Second Global March Against Chemtrails & Geoengineering

by Sharon Schloss Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 9:15 PM

Los Angeles participated in the Global March Against Chemtrails & Geoengineering today in Santa Monica. There were 50-70 activists involved, including members of Los Angeles Skywatch. The public was very receptive and inquisitive.

Los Angeles Marches ...

Concerned Los Angeles residents met at the Santa Monica Pier today for the second Global March Against Chemtrails and Geoengineering. The group, which included members of the local activist group Los Angeles Skywatch, convened at the cannon overlooking the Pacific Ocean under a sky peppered with aerosol clouds and a variety of chemtrail markings. There were around 50-70 people in attendance, an increase from the first global march in August. The march was peaceful and well organized, and although there was one agitator present to try and bring the activists down, he was outnumbered and could not offer an adequate reason for his opposition to this environmental cause.

The march lasted for about two hours, slowly making its way through the Third Street Promenade, which was an excellent venue in which to bring this issue to light. Santa Monica is a health and environmentally conscious city and the march happened to coincide with the Santa Monica Farmers Market, where consumers vote against agribusiness with their purchase of local and organic produce. The marchers handed out flyers and literature from Geoengineeringwatch.org and Los Angeles Skywatch to a receptive public. Many of the shoppers, who had been aware of the spraying for some time, were looking for answers and information. Last month this issue was brought into the mainstream by Stephen Colbert in his brutally comedic interview with David Keith, one of the world’s best known geoengineering scientists. It is becoming increasingly difficult to hide the reason behind the spraying, and people are even starting to notice the difference between natural and aerosol clouds.

For many years people have noticed persistent contrails coming from jets and lingering in the sky for hours. Science’s reasoning for what we are seeing is that these are simply contrails, or condensation trails of jet exhaust. The problem with this explanation, leading to what the mainstream media has termed as the “chemtrail conspiracy theory,” is that it does not agree with the actual science of flight and weather. Contrails are very short, last only a few plane lengths behind the aircraft, and only occur at altitudes above 30,000 feet. They are composed of ice crystals that dissipate quickly behind the plane. Chemical trails can happen at much lower altitudes, and now with the Plane Finder App for smart phones, many lay people have been documenting persistent trails at lower altitudes.

Another failure of mainstream science in regard to quelling the public’s concerns about chemtrails is that they cannot adequately explain why water condensation is lingering for so many hours and spreading out across the sky. Almost daily, throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and many other parts of the world, airplanes fly back and forth creating grids in the sky that within hours create hazy whiteout conditions. We are also seeing many artificial clouds which are easily recognized by features such as a cotton-candy appearance, fine linear ripples caused by HAARP’s radio frequencies, and streaky rainbow colors like one would see in oil spilled on dark pavement. These events are simply reported as cirrus clouds and rainbows, both of which were extremely uncommon in Los Angeles until the past couple of years. It seems odd to the growing number of people noticing this that there are some days where the planes do not leave any persistent trails and others where the sky gets completely obliterated by them, even though there are planes flying every day. Also strange and completely ignored by weather reporters on mainstream news is why it has been cloudy so much of the time in Los Angeles recently, yet we are experiencing a drought. The public is now demanding an answer.

In Los Angeles, we are accustomed to clear blue skies for most of the year with cumulus clouds and rain in the winter and early spring. For the past year, almost every day has been cloudy or partly cloudy, no matter what time of year, and there has been almost no rain in the winter and spring. The chemtrails and aerosol clouds are composed of aluminum, barium, and strontium, and, as documented by the Carnicom Institute, biological agents. Rain tests in California over the past year have revealed increasing levels of these three heavy metals which far exceed what is considered normal and healthy by the EPA. There has been a dramatic increase in aluminum related illnesses in the past decade since this heavy spraying began, including autism, Alzheimer’s disease, and asthma. Los Angeles residents who have never had issues with allergies are now reporting sore throats and congestion, as well as headaches and lethargy. These problems seem to coincide with the amount of aerosols in the air.

Another important reason that people are now taking to the street and marching in protest of the chemtrail spraying is that it is ultimately a weather modification program which is wreaking havoc on people’s lives. California is in an unprecedented drought while the central and eastern parts of the U.S. are being slammed with devastating storms. We are in the driest year since they began recording rainfall levels in 1894, which is causing events like the Glendora wildfire last week, while the east is being crippled by extreme snow storms. Simply attributing this to “climate change” does not address the reasons for the climate change. Climate change is an effect, not a cause. Geoengineering is altering weather patterns and exacerbating global warming by creating a blanket of aerosol clouds that hold in heat at night. The spraying is also destroying the ozone layer. Now that people are wising up to the crime in the sky, scientists like David Keith are proposing geoengineering as a cure for global warming, which it most certainly is not. In fact, it will only make this problem worse without addressing the need to reduce CO2 emissions.

Since new evidence is coming out linking Monsanto to the geoengineering program, there is even more reason for public outrage. The biotech giant has been throwing its weight around for years, suing independent farmers for patent infringement when their fields become contaminated with GMO cross-pollination, spending millions of dollars trying to stop the labeling of foods containing GMOs, and now even trying to force their unhealthy foods upon underdeveloped nations in Africa under the guise of philanthropy. Monsanto means to control the world’s food supply. They have patented aluminum resistant, drought resistant genetically modified seeds in the face of the chemtrail spraying, which is causing crop loss for organic farmers, as seen in the documentary film, “Why in the World Are They Spraying?” It is no coincidence that they have this patent. By creating conditions in which plants cannot survive, they can further their agenda to monopolize the agriculture business by offering the only seeds that can live with this abiotic stress.

This march along with the global marches against Monsanto in 2013 will hopefully increase awareness about how our natural world is being taken away from us, all for a corporate monopoly. It seems absurd that anyone would want to patent and own nature itself, and it seems crazy that anyone would do so much harm to people and the environment. But history shows that these types of abuses happen time and time again, the difference now is that there is more science and technology involved. It is still the same story of the many being abused and controlled by the few, and marches like the Global March Against Chemtrails & Geoengineering show that if we unite against the corporate food and weather monopoly, we can prevail and take back our air, food, and water.

Shasta Aluminium

by bob Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at 6:09 AM

Shasta Aluminum + *rainwater* samples

Six rainwater samples were collected in 2011. Each samples was shipped to Basic labs in Redding, California and tested for aluminum, a heavy metal that should not register any detectable amount in normal rainwater.

Where normal precipitation should contain no aluminum (0 ug/L) each of the 6 lab results collected were found to be significantly contaminated with aluminum up to 182.0 ug/L. Results for Alachua County roughly replicate similar analyses from California, Arizona and even Australia and follow a global trend.

HAARP Facility Shuts Down

by crazy_inventor Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at 1:02 PM

HAARP Facility Shuts...
haarp_has_been_shut_down.jpg, image/jpeg, 600x428

07/15/2013

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) — a subject of fascination for many hams and the target of conspiracy theorists and anti-government activists — has closed down. HAARP’s program manager, Dr James Keeney at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, told ARRL that the sprawling 35-acre ionospheric research facility in remote Gakona, Alaska, has been shuttered since early May.

“Currently the site is abandoned,” he said. “It comes down to money. We don’t have any.” Keeney said no one is on site, access roads are blocked, buildings are chained and the power turned off.

The proximate cause of HAARP’s early May shutdown was less fiscal than environmental, Keeney said. As he explained it, the diesel generators on site no longer pass Clean Air Act muster. Repairing them to meet EPA standards will run $800,000. Beyond that, he said, it costs $300,000 a month just to keep the facility open and $500,000 to run it at full capacity for 10 days.

Larry Ledlow, N1TX, of Fairbanks, Alaska, said HAARP ionosonde and riometer data have been “invaluable, especially being more or less local, to understand current conditions in the high latitudes.” He said data from other sites “simply do not accurately reflect the unique propagation we endure here.”

To fill the gap, Ledlow said, several members of the Arctic Amateur Radio Club — including Eric Nichols, KL7AJ, author of Radio Science for the Radio Amateur and articles in QST — have discussed building their own instruments. “It’s all very preliminary,” he said, “but we really feel the pinch losing HAARP.” Nichols, of North Pole, Alaska, has conducted experiments at HAARP. He called the shutdown “a great loss to interior Alaska hams and many others.”

In 1997, HAARP transmitted test signals on HF (3.4 MHz and 6.99 MHz) and solicited reports from hams and short-wave listeners in the “Lower 48” to determine how well the HAARP transmissions could be heard to the south. In 2007 HAARP succeeded in bouncing a 40 meter signal off the moon.

As things stand, the Air Force has possession for now, but if no other agency steps forward to take over HAARP, the unique facility will be dismantled, Keeney said. He pointed out that it would cost less to bulldoze the antenna field than it would to replace the 180 antenna elements.

Splashy web postings abound, blaming HAARP for controlling the weather — most recently in the case of Hurricane Sandy and the spate of tornados — and for causing other natural disasters. Quipped Keeney, “If I actually could affect the weather, I’d keep it open.”

'shut down'

by qob Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at 2:48 PM

http://www.gizmag.com/haarp-operations-on-hold/28383/
Reports that the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) had been shut down permanently were apparently a bit premature. According to HAARP program manager James Keeney, the facility is only temporarily off the air while operating contractors are changed. So why does anyone care? Despite being associated with various natural disasters over the past two decades by the conspiracy fringe, HAARP is in reality a facility for studying the ionosphere. Let's take a look at the goings on at HAARP – past, present, and future.

Regarding Contrails

by johnk Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 10:01 AM

I'll be posting more on the entire article, but the first few paragraphs contain statements that are wrong.

I spent years looking up at the SGV skies as a child, back around 40 years or so, and there were definitely cirrus clouds (the wispy high clouds). Also, contrails were long, and often didn't dissipate, at least for the hour or two I was looking at them. There were short contrails, too, but there were definitely long ones as well.

Contrails are just clouds. Manmade, yes, but clouds nonetheless. They are induced by changes in air pressure, increases in water vapor from exhaust, and dust that is released from the airplane. If the humidity is high, the clouds persist. If the humidity is low, the contrail evaporates.

According to websites about clouds, contrails actually produce a lot of clouds, and may affect weather slightly.

If you look at a doppler radar of LA, there is sometimes a blob of pixels above LAX. That's probably due to the air traffic.

A "Debunker" Website

by johnk Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 4:26 PM

I haven't read up on chemtrails in several years, so I looked them up again, and there are some debunker sites. I don't really have a side in this - though I am going to criticize the above article - but it interesting stuff to consider.

Here's most of an email I sent regarding this article. I know most of this from doing some reading about chemtrails after reading some articles on LA Indymedia in the early or mid 2000s:

I wish they would print the test results and have someone else confirm them.

Also, what points to chemtrails as the cause of this increase in aluminum. What if what they're seeing is just contrails, and there are other sources of aluminum in the environment? Aluminum oxide is a metal polish and in some sandpapers, and also forms on any aluminum surface. Recycling probably produces aluminum dust when the cans are shredded.

I've read about chaff, but how can you tell if contrails are chaff? Don't you need a radar? Chaff is supposed to misdirect radio-based targeting systems.

Also, what about silver iodide, the classic cloud seeding chemical? Silver is antiseptic - meaning slightly toxic to microbes. Does silver come out of the silver iodide? I think they still use this chemical.

I'm just saying here - I think the chemtrail folks are taking one thing: chaff being sprayed by military aircraft, and conflating it with regular contrails, and it just feels too unproven to me. They also take another important thing, aluminum pollution, but don't seem to explore the issue as a problem outside of using it to point to chemtrails as the cause.

These things are just off the top of my head.

hey John

by crazy_inventor Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 4:49 PM

Aluminum is about 8% of earth's crust, in all kinds of rocks, sand, dust.. Just dust blowing in the wind accounts for aluminum.

- sand, clay, dust is largely Aluminum Silicate.

The chemtrails cabal has now focused on aluminum because they were challenged many times over the years to provide samples & measurements for the [at the time] And barium and other elements/compounds they used to claim [what amounts to] millions of tons were/are being sprayed, and they never could, so by switching to aluminum which is in any/all samples _as dust_, they now get to claim, finally, after all these years, they've found something.

I posted the methane cloud pic because methane is building up so much now it's starting to be seen even here over mid-latitudes. Also the Antarctic is now emitting it too, as well as the Arctic. This is not good.

Final Chemtrails Comment

by johnk Saturday, Feb. 01, 2014 at 9:58 PM

I wrote a fairly detailed followup, but it didn't post correctly, so this will feel a little terse. I think that there are pretty big gaps in the evidence for chemtrails, and I think the logic of the existence of chemtrails is not entirely there, either, but, neither can we definitively say that there isn't aerial spraying of chemicals, or geoengineering.

Aerial spraying is almost as old as human flight. Crop dusting and cloud seeding are common. Fire retardants and water are dumped from planes. So, obviously it's well known that you can deploy chemicals, including poisons, from aircraft.

Likewise, contrails obviously exist. I don't think that a persistent contrail is any proof of chemtrails, as noted in the other comment. I think they are misunderstanding contrails, which are just incidental manmade clouds.

Military use chaff to disrupt radar. The current chaff is fiberglass coated with aluminum.[1] The Navy argues that it has no environmental impact.[2] I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Aluminum is widespread in the environment, but not considered that harmful, except in dust form.[3] Large doses of aluminum, particularly as inhaled or ingested by people working in aluminum plants, causes health problems.[4] Acidic rain or soil causes aluminum to become mobile in the environment and more bioavailable. Aluminum may be implicated in Alzheimers and dementia. However, there's a lot of aluminum in food, in products like antacids and alum.

That's enough info and history to make anyone paranoid, but after spending several hours looking at chemtrails sites, I don't see evidence linking these four things together into what they claim: that the military is trying to combat global warming by spraying aluminum, either chaff-like or nanoparticles, into the air, and that this spraying is causing aluminum poisoning.

That doesn't mean it's not happening – though I'll present a few arguments against it below. It's possible that someone is spraying things into the air with the intent to poison people. The problem is, there's no evidence.

What would evidence look like? Maybe video of planes being loaded with chemicals, and then swabs of the tanks so you can analyze the chemicals. Packing slips and inventory records of chemicals at the various military bases where this spraying is being coordinated. Photos of the exhaust ports on these planes, and swabs taken so the chemicals can be analyzed. When it rains, collect samples from multiple locations and test them and release the results.

I thought spectroscopy was expensive, but some machines on ebay were $3000 or so, and some were more and some were less. There seem to be some consumables and fuel required, but overall, it looks like you can do some basic analysis for less than the cost of owning a car.

Is it logical to use aerial spraying to poison people?

It seems wasteful to me. Why use aluminum, which isn't that toxic, when you could do more damage by poisoning water by fracking so hard that you break the rock underneath the water table? You could put mercury into the tuna supply, or legalize leaded gasoline and paint.

If the goal is to introduce airborne aluminum or anything else into the air, it could be done by building a small plant to blow the stuff into the air. Maybe they could do fireworks shows.

Is it logical to use aerial spraying to modify the weather?

Yes, it seems to be used for that already to seed clouds. However, if you wanted to do some larger-scale operations like shooting carbon into the upper atmosphere, maybe launching rockets from the tops of mountains would be better. Maybe use ballons and explosives. Airplanes would be good for smaller scale effects.

Anyway, I've gone on long enough. I'm not out to debunk chemtrails. I think it's possible that spraying will be used to harm the environment, or even that it's happening now. However, the extensive online chemtrails movement hasn't presented anything that convinces me.

(The more I watch these chemtrails videos, the more I dislike the chemtrails movement. It's hard to be fair when they say things that are not true. I am starting to wonder if these folks are just a kind of climate change denial that's saying it's chemtrails causing climate change rather than regular industrial use of energy that's causing climate change. The standard explanation is that it's burning oil that's causing it – so the solution is to reduce the use of oil. The chemtrails explanation is that it's chemtrails or geoengineering causing it, so the solution is to expose the conspiracy and get the government to stop spraying chemtrails.[5])

Regarding Debunkers

by johnk Monday, Feb. 03, 2014 at 2:06 AM

I said that last thing was final, but I'm back. The debunker site was just sticking in my mind, and I don't like it. Mainly, I am not in agreement with their defense of a GMO plant that resist aluminum. They go straight from pointing out flaws in the chemtrails arguments to practically boosting for Monsanto.

The argument is that this GMO should be grown in the Brazilian cerrado, a nutrient-poor, aluminum saturated area.

Instead of engineering a corn that grows in acid soil, they should focus on planting crops that grow in acid soils. A few web searches revealed that potatoes, tomatoes, and fruits like acid soils. Potatoes and tomatoes are native to South America. It seems like a more appropriate crop than corn.

This website indicates the situation is actually worse than just aluminum. The soil is just not good for agriculture and needs to be altered for a couple years by adding lime and organic material.
http://www.agbrazil.com/soils.htm

Biochar might help. It moderates acidity, and it also helps sequester carbon dioxide into the soil. It also originated in Brazil. Perhaps it was used because of poor soil conditions.
