Well, by now everyone in the Occupy movement is hotly debating “nonviolence” vs. “diversity of tactics”, as recently so in, “Chris Hedges and Kristof Lopaur of Occupy Oakland debate black bloc, militancy and tactics,” February 8, 2012, on KPFA in Berkeley, California.

Both Lopaur and Hedges made some critically weak, flawed, at times somewhat disingenuous or self-contradictory and, in Lopaur’s case, often specious arguments in their radio debate. This so, even though I politically agree with Hedges, and although Hedges’ recent commentary, ”The Cancer in Occupy,” seemed poorly supported journalistically. But, Hedges is dead on about, ‘Go do violence under your own name, not the Occupy movement’s.’

Hedges would have been better off just writing his opinion, presented analytically, but he deserves great credit for using his stature to get an “Anarchist”-suppressed, but mortally important, debate firmly out in the open and over progressive airwaves. Let me say that both of them have respectively done very good progressive work.

This is my partial, but most important, analytical response to Kristof Lopaur’s (and those he represents) support for Black Bloc, or otherwise, ”diversity of tactics” in the Occupy Movement. My main point: Occupy Oakland, and the Occupy movement, cannot have both a diversity of people and a ”diversity of tactics” at this time – and the movement can’t shortcut the process of attaining, and retaining, the first by jumping to the second.

It can be said if Someone says you need to do Violent Acts in order to achieve your goals that the person is probably a Spook or a Dupe, who has been deceived by Spooks, whether they be Undercover Cops infilatrating the Targeted Movement, or Intel Spooks from various Agencies be they CIA, Mossod, MI6, etc. These Agents Provacateur and those Duped by them are the Real Cancer aka Trojan Horse in The Occupy Movement, for it is they that draw The TV Cameras aka The CIA Propuganda Machine to Smear the Opponents of Occupy Movement by Attaching these Violent Acts, which were Hatched by Cops Recruited by The CIA, or other Agents Provacateur in Order to give the 1% their Excuse to Shut Down Occupy. Without these Provoking Agents, The 1% and their Cops would openly look like The Gestapo they are, when they preemptively attack Occupy Protesters, with Mace or Batons without such a provoking incident supplied by their fellow spooks infiltrating Occupy. The same goes for the Antiwar Movement, or any other adversary of the 1%.

I believe that the actions of the 'Black Block' are purely state agencies with their following of dupes, agent provocateurs and plain criminal elements.
We've seen quite a few explicit examples of this false flag approach by the state to deal with public opinion and the freedom; no, the Right to peaceably assemble for grievances.
The majority must actively police their movements like forming roving committees to patrol and mitigate criminal destructive activities that paint the demonstrations as 'violent'.
Revolution can become a bloodbath if violence and destruction hold sway as opposed to deliberate tactics and mass action. Resistance can be as powerful as a position of total refusal to allow the state to guide the direction of the movement.
