CARSON UNVEILS DRUG FREE CITY WARNING SIGNS

Carson—The City of Carson has just achieved another milestone in ordinance making. On July 15, the city has just declared Carson as a drug-free city.

In a simple but well attended program that was held at the front courtyard of Carson City Hall, the City officials led by Mayor Jim Dear and Elito Santarina, Mayor Pro tem unveiled the drug-free city warning sign acclaimed by the cheering public.

On April 16, 2010 the Carson City Council unanimously voted to adopt an ordinance that declared Carson as a “drug-free city and to provide enhanced penalties for the manufacture, sale, distribution, possession and illegal use of controlled substances.

Including in the ordinance is the a series of Special Monitoring Areas (SMA’s) and the placement of the warning signs that says “ Drug Free City along city limits.

A Haka Dance was performed by Maoris of New Zealand. Youths from AADAP who speak-out on the program voiced out their support for the drug-free ordinance.

Does this actually work to ratchet up the charges against people who sell drugs?

Does Carson have a big drug problem?

This is just more of the same, the fascist State trying to justify and legitimize their outrageous budgets, un-needed jobs, and crimes against our country's citizens under the banner of "fighting drugs."

Some 70% of the nation's law enforcement could be eliminated without any impact in crime fighting. Growing budgets, growing numbers of cops, growing crimes against citizens, all of that could be eliminated by cutting some 70% of the law enforcement infrastructure with *zero* impact on actual crime.

Here we have the fascist State once again ramping up their efforts to try to justify their budgets and their jobs, and as usual the rights, liberties, and freedoms of actual tax-paying citizens once again gets it up the ass.
