On the second floor of Murphy Hall, in the campus of UCLA, 200 students are sitting outside the Chancellor's office demanding to be heard. About 600 students first gathered at noon and marched around campus before filing into Murphy Hall. Once inside, the students sat in the hallway outside the Chancellor's office, demanding to present their list of reforms directly to the Chancellor. The temperature in the hallway rose into the 90s and some students left, around 200 remain. The Chancellor's office door is guarded by five police who have not been aggressive towards the student protesters.
