the farmers

by sue Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at 5:30 PM

can the majority of the farmers come this sunday? it would make a stronger statement if they showed up in support of the continued struggle to save the land rather then people believing what they've read in newspapers about the majority of farmers moving to watts..? unless it's true? how come the majority of the farmers don't come around anymore? what's happening???? whats up with the appeal? is it still going through? how come the trees in the farm are being boxed up and moved? where are they going? from the looks of the farm it looks like people have given up. let's hope not! continue the struggle!

I wouldn't assume anything like that so quickly. The farmers are probably moving on and figuring out how to feed themselves and their families. They were probably farmers first, some of them activists second. But probably farmers most of all.

I think just about all cities should have community farms, just like they have libraries.
