Trust For Public Land Drafting Legal Documents For Developer Horowitz Today
Los Angeles - “The Trust For Public Land is continuing to work with the seller and private funders to negotiate a transaction to purchase the community farm. The Trust For Public Land is working today on developing an offer to present to the seller,” states Bob Reid, of the Trust For Public Land.
Yesterday the Annenberg Foundation presented a letter of intent to the developer pledging a substantial amount of money strengthening The Trust for Public Land's position to purchase the South Central Farm.
For more information and to make donations, go to www.southcentralfarmers.com
Interest in South Central Farm is spreading across the nation and around the world, while calls and donations of support are flooding in. South Central Farm represents the very real opportunity to make our cities more livable, safe and productive. Its preservation has become a priority not just for concerned Angelenos, but citizens worldwide as farmers and supporters risk imminent eviction.
The roster of concerned supporters grows as public and celebrity endorsements multiply. Those that have come to the farm include Joan Baez, Danny Glover, Martin Sheen, Christine Chavez, Father Michael Kennedy, Evelyn Knight, Reverend Michael Beckwith, Ben Harper, Laura Dern, Tom Morello, Rosanna Arquette, Amy Smart, Michelle Shocked, Alicia Silverstone, among others.
