Police Claim only 500,000
gran_marcha_1.jpg, image/jpeg, 500x332
The initial estimates from mainstream media indicated that between 1 and 2 milion people marched for migrant's lives and rights in Los Angeles Saturday, and organizers of La Gran Marcha put the figure at 1.5 million.
Police then countered these figures with a lowball estimate of only half a million. This then was picked up and parroted by the mainstream press. Police, of course, as representativesof the State, always consciously underestimate crowd size.
Let's look at some fotos and make some comparisons.
The first image is of today's march in LA. This is supposed to represent 500,000 people...

Here's one image of the Chicago march for migrants two weeks ago. Police called this 100,000 people. Organizers said it was 300,000 or more.

In the Spring of 2004 1.15 million women marched in Washington DC for reproductive rights. Again, compare with your own eyes.
The results may be inconclusive, but there is no reason whatsoever to trust the police figures for La Gran Marcha, while clearly event organizers endeavored to be modest in their assessment of crowd size

it's usually a good idea to take the police estimate and the activist estimate and average the two in your head to get a good idea what the real amount was. of course both sides have now started to routinely reduce and enlarge their under or over estimates to compensate for this now that they know people do it. soon the police will be saying "0" and activists will say "6.5 billion" and all bets will be off.
hee hee.

Interested in meeting other White American patriots to share your disgust with the Mexican regime and the traitors who aid and abet the ILLEGAL Third World invasion of our communities?
If so, you're in good company!
American patriots are meeting up next Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Laguna Beach, CA, for an informal Mexican Flag-Burning Ceremony.
Show the world just how you feel about the ILLEGAL Mexican invasion of our country!
WHEN: Saturday, April 1, 2006, 10:00AM
WHERE: North End of Victoria Beach, Laguna Beach, CA
NOTE: An American photographer will be on hand to record the proceedings and to distribute photos of desecrated Mexican flags and other symbols of the ILLEGAL regime.
It's time to liberate ourselves from the growing regime of mass ILLEGAL Third World immigration, anti-White discrimination, multiculturalism, and anti-American terrorism.
It's time to liberate America.

Nonsense, we should never let the police set any kind of creditable standard even a low one. This kind of spectacle must frighten the ruling class and have military planners busy w/ countermeasures. Why can't these marches break up into disbursement into the surrounding hoods to gather support or effect sections of commerce? Amplify their effect and thwart any attempts at crowd control.

There were only "men" at this march? What if we were to use whiteness as a frame of reference for all people? Someone would then say that "millions of white people marched" then it would be a problem. But how often do we question how language is gendered and makes women invisible? the fight for justice is not limited to class or race. we need to check ourselves and our role in reproducing systems of power. such as PATRIARCHY! MUJERES PRESENTE!

Yes
While there may have been a few women there, the Million Man March was organized specifically to show the power and solidarity of the Black Male.
This was how the march was organized and publicized.

Business did really great after this march. There was hardly anywhere to sit to eat lunch, it was so crowded. Demonstrators were out shopping in all the districts around downtown, because they were stuck there with few exit options because buses were diverted from their normal routes for a while.
Dozens, maybe hundreds, of scavengers were picking up plastic bottles and aluminum cans. These were sold, originally, by as many food vendors. (This actually makes for a good model for cleaning up large public demos. Allow only sales of foods in containers that can be recycled for a few cents [that is, there's a recycling fee on the container]. Then, allow people to make some money from picking up the garbage.)
Hundreds of thousands of people exited the area by foot, going in all directions, waving their flags and banners. The demonstration easily permeated a half mile to a mile into Boyle Heights. I'm sure it did the same in all directions.

"permeated a half mile" That's not quite what I would call organized follow through for such a huge Mass of people energy. I would have thought break up marches could roam for many miles, distributing flyers, etc. Oh well, it certainly was fucking huge.

Hi: We happened to notice that as we were preparing for our 13th year anniversary of the largest gathering in the world of any women anywhere ever, and looking for additional reference information for a upcoming presentation, we found this article listed on your site. While the heading said (and show a picture of a large crowd gathering), this is neither the Million Woman/Women March (which is trademarked) nor it is a picture of the 2.5 million who attended in Philadelphia on October 25, 1997. With that said, your article that talked about the Million Women March, (of 2004) is misleading and is a bit confusing. The 2004 event that took place in DC was called "The March for Women's (Reproductive) Rights. Be it a accident, oversight, or intentional, this article needs to be corrected ASAP
Thank you National Million Woman March
