South Azerbaijan ready to topple mullahs

by zartusht-e urumiyeh Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 at 9:16 PM

Mullah figures published recently put azeri numbers at 29 million inside iran. same figures say only 22 million persians reside in iran. notebly, there are 20 million or so other ethnic groups such as arabs, baluchi, turkeman, talish and kurds.

azer.com
gamoh.org

azerbaijan is ready to explode in a few years.

75 years of russian and persian oppression of the azeri language and culture has left many deep wounds. even today, as a majority inside iran's borders, they are not allowed to read and write in their mother tongue publicly.

the success of northern azerbaijan's quest for autonomy away from russian USSR has given new life to the movement for a free azerbaijan in Iran.

as the government crack downs on public shows of azeri culture, while they arrest the political leaders and torture them into submission, the azeri cause, which has for the most part stayed peaceful in the political non-violent/intelectual realm of activism is now ready to pick up arms. this can only be avoided if the mullahs allow freadom and autonomy not just for the azeris, but for the countless other ethnic minority groups. most notebly and violent has been the kurdish uprising against the mullahs.

these groups have been under violent oppression for 75 years and have been fed a full helping of fantastical persian history and culture as their own.

as the azeris learn to read and write in their own language, the communication barier between the south in iran and the north will diminish leading to a yearning to see long lost loved ones divided for decades by an ancient river called araz.

as the kurds realise their own powers as a whole, Iran as we know it will be history.

the government of iran must stop oppressing the history and culture of its minority groups. persian history is great and ancient, but some of the oppressed groups have history that predates persians by 3-5 thousand years. the scientific community has proven this and has helped unravell the lies taught in iranian schools since the pahlavi dynasty began.

though, the mullahs tried to stop it. the building of northern azerbaijan's embassy in tabriz will soon be complete.

the flag of azerbaijan will be flown in tabriz as well as tehran. this important symbol will indead lead the way for more cultural and business exchanges between the two alienated brothers in the north and south.

Finally

by fresca Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at 8:17 AM

"This is no doubt part of the US planning for an attack on Iran."

Finally. I mean, c'mon. It's time to call a spade a spade and admit that countries like Iran and Syria have long outlived any usefullness to the world that they ever might have had.

It's time to simply eradicate them.

Please, if you will, enlighten me on where I'm wrong on any of this. Maybe I missed something so please tell me what it is exactly that the brutal Islamic cultures of Iran and Syria really contribute to the world community.

in agreement - about what is the key

by Hex Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005 at 8:20 PM

noting that she's only here to gleefully waste our time for sheer amusement

the Rabbi's protesting in front of the whitehouse being a great example

1.) I photoshopped them
(I posted the website URL)
2.) they photoshopped them
(I posted matching video footage)
3.) a few days of silence (actually she was still playing this game on other issues - just ignoring this one)
4.) went back to saying they were photoshopped again while ignoring the matching video footage entirely, and ignoring me *reminding her of the footage* as well

"Fresca's" (Clara Lyle's) game strategy

1. Facts may trap you, only resort to them if they totally support your point. A little truth is nice but not required. Embellishment is encouraged.

2. If you are backed into a corner, say anything to get the upper hand. The more outrageous, the better.

3. If 1 and 2 aren't working, scream as loudly as necessary, defaming your opponent in as demeaning a way as possible. Do not let your opponents voice even be heard.

Epilog.

The opponent will probably research your comments after the debate, but it will be too late to refute anything you said. They will look like sore losers if they pursue that line, as you will point out if questioned.

"will probably research your comments"

I did and guess what I found, direct word-for-word pastes from Coulter, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Savage and Hannity

When she's not pasting, her remarks are patheticly shallow thinly veiled attempts to simply attack the person rather than the message as above..

These "heros" that she incessantly inflicts upon us for her personal "amusement" are the worst of the worst ;

"With seething ferocity Coulter attacked Bill Clinton's morality and still vehemently believes that he should have been removed from office for his sexual indiscretions. When Coulter was cornered on the Geraldo Rivera Show for her lifestyle while living in Manhattan and dating successful pornographer Robert Guccione Jr. she replied, "I'm not married and I can sleep with as many people as I want!"

When Coulter was later cornered on the duplicity of calling for morality as someone purporting to an ideological kinship with Pat Robertson and Ralph Reed, she responded, "Well, if someone behaves like that they should at least feel guilty about it." So there we have it from philosopher Coulter. You can wear two hats by being a libertine and devout supporter of the religious right as long as you feel at least a trace of guilt for your sexual conduct.

Rush Limbaugh, not only was he a vigilant believer that global warning was a myth and a fraud, stacking his expertise as a loquacious talk show host and former male nurse as a Sacramento hospital alongside some 53 Nobel Prize scientists, he also led the fight against anyone who took drugs.

Limbaugh was a hard-liner with a take no prisoners attitude, no matter how small the quantity or circumstances of the individual. At one point he fulminated about shipping all drug users out of the country and at another believed that the solution to the problem was sending them to prison and throwing away the key. "Show no mercy" was the Limbaugh mantra.

The "show no mercy" rule was appropriately amended to include rich right wing talk show hosts who hungrily popped pills. While Sean Hannity called for "compassion" others focused on how much empathy was displayed by Limbaugh, not to mention the sheer hypocrisy of denouncing users when he was perhaps high at the time himself, or salivating for his next pill-popping opportunity.

While calling for compassion from others Limbaugh has been looking out for himself. While drug addicts are generally known to be penniless the affluent Limbaugh has hired expensive Miami criminal lawyer Roy Black to prevent federal authorities from prying into his medical records. But Rush, these are government authorities and, well, don't you support the Patriot Act?

Bill O'Reilly felt a towering moral outrage so great that he launched an on the air vendetta to pressure Pepsi Cola from hiring rapper Ludacris after he recorded an album entitled "Word of Mouf" that tremendously offended the talk show host. While self-styled moralist O'Reilly fervently attacked he ardently promoted a novel he wrote entitled "Those Who Trespass" and comparisons of the two works for offensive subject matter revealed interesting results.

O'Reilly surpassed Ludacris and his objectionable album in murders by a 6 to 4 count. Ludacris outpointed O'Reilly in the total sex scene category 68 to 39, but the Fox commentator had the edge 1 to 0 in his presentation of a "teen crack oral slut scene" since Ludacris did not present any.

Perhaps O'Reilly should be asked if he sent any autographed copies of "Those Who Trespass" to Falwell, Robertson or Reed. Would the religious right consider holding a prayer vigil to bring O'Reilly back to rectitude following his novel and that sexual harassment suit he insisted he would fight, and was a lie, only to pay a settlement fee that the Washington Post estimated was "in the millions"? "

Well, beyond the fact that my post did FORCE you into spending quite some time typing some rambling schizophrenic post (ie. the fantasy id's you always come up with) I must say that wasting YOUR time is not the only reason I come here.

It's also to attck and ridicule the delusioned fools of the far left.

Pretty much ducks on a pond.

Now, let's talk about taking over iran and syria and forcing them to evolve.

Agreed

by Gumby Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at 9:56 AM

Fresca hit the nail on the head. I did 2 tours of duty in the middle east, the second one for the Gulf War. Every country I went to was a deeply corrupt cesspool. And every one of them was an oppressive dictatorship (Iraq now excepted). There is no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, no freedom of expression and equal rights is a totally alien concept.

Syria and Iran are no different. They, like most countries there, are totally dysfuntional and socially and politically backwards. They openly support all forms of terrorism and provide safe haven for islamic savages that derive great pleasure from sawing peoples heads off.

One day, sooner or later, they will have to be held accountable for behaving like 8th century barbarians.

Paranoid

by Gumby Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at 1:23 PM

During the Gulf War I was aboard the USS Jarrett (FFG-33) as a member of deployed air detatchment 12 from helicopter squadron HSL-45 in North Island Naval Air Station. I was a Seahawk helicopter crewman, rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.

And I have no doubt that while I was dodging bullets you were in class playing with crayons and learning your ABC's.

How much time have you spent in the Middle East?

You said: "A fighting combat swabbie. Polishing the deck with your lips.

Translation: --> I've never spent so much as 3 seconds of my life in the Middle East or in the US military. I know virtually nothing about either one. Therefore, instead of debating (hey... I thought we socialists were all about 'open debate') I'll just make a personal attack. This will show how 'nuanced' I am and how I 'support the troops'. Since I'm all out of gas, bullets, ideas and cigarettes I'll just resort to name calling. Its what I do best.

Wake up

by Gumby Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at 4:58 AM

Get with reality... Neither the US, Europe nor the CIA made the Middle east corrupt. They've been corrupt on their own, long before we ever walked into their neighborhood. The corruption that exists there now is not a new development... its the long standing norm.

And yes, I do admonish them. The US isn't perfect, but we don't celebrate in the streets when innocent civilians have their heads hacked off on TV. Their corruption is not the result of foreign intervention. Its the result of their culture. You won't like that idea because its politically incorrebct and 'insensitive', but its also true. And no, its not racist either (so you can forget about thorwing out that tired accusation.)

I could get a lot more politically incorrect about this, but your sensitive, socialist nature would blow a gasket.

This statement is unsupportable in view of the many C.I.A. assassinations and coups, public records, show.
"Get with reality... Neither the US, Europe nor the CIA made the Middle east corrupt."
A false statement easely proven to be a lie. And that's if only one wishes to look a Iraq.
This is no war it's another grand criminal enterprise.
"The US isn't perfect, but we don't celebrate in the streets when innocent civilians have their heads hacked off on TV. "
Maybe you'e refering to the clumsy C.I.A. staged beheadings which showed an amazing similarity to Abu Graibe down to the chairs and wall paint, Examining the Nick Berg vedio, one sees a green caped individual in the rt. foreground U.S. GI issue,
A sea of lies you are drowning in.

From a man with many perspectives

by AK Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at 10:28 PM

First off, I will tell you about myself (hopefully to hinder childish name-calling.) I am a U.S. Marine (3rd ANGLICO, 4th MARDIV), as well as a student at UCLA. I was deployed to Iraq in 2003 for 3 months and unfortunately witnessed things that no human should, however that is the reality of the world we live in. I am an Armenian-American (born here). My father was born in Iran as well as my mother (hence I know about the middle-east from their perspective.)

Secondly, anyone who know's anything about warfare should know that all military personnel deployed in a conflict are ALL susceptible to being attacked. Remember the 1st ID's small little SUPPLY convoy that was attacked???, and the young female soldier who was rescued by US special forces? And that's just a supply convoy. Remember the movie Black Hawk Down??? Helicopter's deployed in combat are fired upon just the same as infantryman, in fact, bringing a U.S. helicopter down would cause for much celebration by our enemies (e.g. Apache helicopter shot down in Iraq.) Do not make naive comments to insult people who put their lives on the line for your country. You are insulting your own intelligence.

The last statements I shall state in respect to being educated about the "Mullahs" by a person who has witnessed their human nature with his own eyes, my father. The Mullah regime in Iran currently holds it's own people hostage. They control the military, police and hence suppress their own people by means of brutal and inhumane acts. If someone is caught stealing something, they cut their hands off. If you protest against the regime, you are shot to death. These are just few examples of their crimes against humanity. The majority of persians are actually very western friendly. Before the revolution, people embraced western culture and ideology of freedom. My father told me he used to watch American t.v. shows that I see reruns of nowadays such as "Lost in Space". Now all that reigns in that country is censorship and lack of liberties which we Americans take advantage of. My parents fled the country in 1977 before the revolution after they noticed the rise of militant and extremist muslim parties. Thank God, for if not, I would not have been born in this land I love so much.... The melting pot of the world.

We all know that if the "mullahs" were given the opportunity, they would exterminate all jews and christians. How can you say that it is wrong to take the Iranian regime out? Soon they will have nuclear weapons, and can easily supply a terrorist with one to go and take out the town that any of you commenters live in.

For the sake of reality, look at the situation for what it is, not about whether war is immoral or not. Unfortunately war is still needed in the world we live in, and I am sad to say so. I consider myself neither a right nor left in politics, I just consider myself a realist.
