Mullah figures published recently put azeri numbers at 29 million inside iran. same figures say only 22 million persians reside in iran. notebly, there are 20 million or so other ethnic groups such as arabs, baluchi, turkeman, talish and kurds.

azerbaijan is ready to explode in a few years.
75 years of russian and persian oppression of the azeri language and culture has left many deep wounds. even today, as a majority inside iran's borders, they are not allowed to read and write in their mother tongue publicly.
the success of northern azerbaijan's quest for autonomy away from russian USSR has given new life to the movement for a free azerbaijan in Iran.
as the government crack downs on public shows of azeri culture, while they arrest the political leaders and torture them into submission, the azeri cause, which has for the most part stayed peaceful in the political non-violent/intelectual realm of activism is now ready to pick up arms. this can only be avoided if the mullahs allow freadom and autonomy not just for the azeris, but for the countless other ethnic minority groups. most notebly and violent has been the kurdish uprising against the mullahs.
these groups have been under violent oppression for 75 years and have been fed a full helping of fantastical persian history and culture as their own.
as the azeris learn to read and write in their own language, the communication barier between the south in iran and the north will diminish leading to a yearning to see long lost loved ones divided for decades by an ancient river called araz.
as the kurds realise their own powers as a whole, Iran as we know it will be history.
the government of iran must stop oppressing the history and culture of its minority groups. persian history is great and ancient, but some of the oppressed groups have history that predates persians by 3-5 thousand years. the scientific community has proven this and has helped unravell the lies taught in iranian schools since the pahlavi dynasty began.
though, the mullahs tried to stop it. the building of northern azerbaijan's embassy in tabriz will soon be complete.
the flag of azerbaijan will be flown in tabriz as well as tehran. this important symbol will indead lead the way for more cultural and business exchanges between the two alienated brothers in the north and south.
