1>None of the news channels appear to be emphasising that yesterday's "excessive force" incident involving the LAPD occurs after the helicopter stops shining the light on the scene (according to my vague recollections). As far as I am concerned the police often use excessive force. It has become the norm and accepted by most of society to the point where they exhibit the rough tactics on shows like "Cops".
2> It would be nice to know how allegations of "excessive force" that are not caught on tape (at least not on one that has been publicized) are handled by the LAPD. Currently the empahsis seems to be placed on how the LAPD is handling yesterday's widely publicized case.
It was a passing thought, that I am unlikely to pursue. If anyone reading this feels so inclined to pursue, then please do.
Sincerely,
Aouie
