I am in favor of IndyMedia blocking KOBE members.
KOBE members visit LA IndyMedia for one reason and one reason only - to provoke conflict and hinder free expression. LA IndyMedia is not a public service. LA IndyMedia is owned by a collective of individuals and that collective of individuals has the right to control LA IndyMedia in any way they see fit. The protection of Free Expression applies only to non-interference by the government. It does not apply to private property. While many may dispute that LA IndyMedia is private property, under our current legal system, the fact remains that it is private property.
KOBE claims that KOBE cannot be blocked. This is partially true. Anyone using a system that generates random IP addresses cannot be blocked while maintaining open access for others. However, blocking IP addresses commonly used by KOBE does slow KOBE down and makes KOBE members lives more difficult. It also prevents them from posting from some locations where their favorite software is not available.
KOBE is absolutely pathetic in its cries against "censorship." KOBE had made it KOBE's mission to shut down internet forums through harassment. So don't listen to KOBE whining.
Block KOBE. Keep on blocking KOBE.

If blocking didn't annoy KOBE, why is KOBE whining about it?
The answer is obvious. It does annoy KOBE.

...in someone decrying the hindrance of free expression and simutaneously calling for the hindrance of free expression?

Why KOBE and those in the KOBE orbit are doing is an attempt to disrupt the functioning of free speech on forums that host ideas that KOBE disagrees with. I have many screen shots where KOBE declares this as KOBE's goal. Therefore, KOBE is not here for free expression. KOBE is here for disruption. That makes KOBE our enemy. Only fools allow their enemies into their homes.
Pack your toys and go home, KOBE.

Personally, I'd say only fools allow people posting on a discussion board to disrupt their freedom of expression.
Geez, Stevie, it's not like he's got a few thousand fascist friends crowding around your street corner, is it?

Nobody, no website, has been able to block KOBE. This one is no different. Fact is, that they have not blocked us at all. The goal is to disrupt your ability to freely spew your anarchist, anti-American garbage on the internet. If the IMCs want to play, they are welcome to try, but they will block many of you in the process, and eventually become a closed website.
.htaccess...............BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You say Block Kobe, Block Away..... dude you sound like you've played lots and lots of prison football. Yes, I see it all, you've blocked hundreds of extra points.
Gee the little anarchists just can not tolerate "anarchy" when it is used against them. Go figure. Keep on blocking those extra points moron

"We reserve the right to refuse service".
The above statement is often seen in restaurants or other public places. People understand it and have accepted it as a courtesy to protect patrons from the uncivility of some people, not as prejudice. The actions of KOBE fall in the latter category. KOBE has earned its exclusion; invoking Free Speech, a right KOBE doesn't care much except for themselves, is just an additional proof of dishonesty and double standards. LA.IMC does not restrict the right of KOBE to spew its hate and disinformation; they are free to do it on their own website.
Good riddance.

First they came for the Kobe but I was not a Kobe so I did not speak out; (Kobe was visiting his granny that day)
Then they came for the Kobe again but I was not one of them, so I did not speak out; (Kobe was having a root canal at the time)
Then they came for Kobe again but I was not a Kobe so I did not speak out.(Kobe that time was passed out in a motel room, it was a long, hard night)
And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me." (because Kobe was busy doing what Kobe does....)
And Kobe laughed at you.....
You get the idea Ralph?????

They will never be able to block KOBE, but you already know that. After all, we are KOBE. The damning thing is, that they are blocking at all. Its not as if we are flooding the board like in the old days. For the most part, I post relevant (albeit scathing) opinion on the posts I read here. Yes, there is a lot of DeVoy flaming, but for the most part, I write conservative commentary without biting my tongue.
That's what's got them going. Now, I have it set up so that each time I come here, it may look to them like Im coming from just about anywhere. One minute from Fargo, North Dakota, the next from Sri Lanka. BWAHAHAHAHA! By the time they block a major domain (like AOL or Earthlink), the work will have been done, and a lot of their readership will have been blocked. Open Publishing, MY ASS!
