Yea, I've been waiting for this too.

I'm rounding up a number of my Republican friends and think I can get 30 or 40 attendees.

We have definite ideas on what this group should do and where they should go. The first thing we intend to challenge is the 'people of color only' stipulation. That's racist and we Repubs are anti-racist.

We'll try to have the majority vote when the group is ready to make decisions. Hopefully we can take this over and neutralize it.

disregarding the disgusting trivia of the above post, i have heard some serious criticisms of this conference from serious activists of color. some say they don't think it is a good idea to organize specifically as people of color. i don't understand that perspective but would like to hear from activists of color who are interested in discussing this rationally.... anybody out there?

i found this update at the infoshop website. i've been annoyed and turned off by infoshop ever since they parroted the OC WEEKLY line on Long Beach Mayday 2001, but many good people post there so it's still worth a peak now and then.

the anarchist people of color conference website has posted an APOC Network proposal. i don't understand point #2 from the points of unity but the general idea (a national network of anarchist people of color) is a very valuable one in my opinion.
