PROTEST RACISM & IMMIGRANT BASHING IN ANAHEIM

by Barbara Coe's boyfriend Saturday, Dec. 08, 2001 at 7:09 AM

Protest fascists, racists, nazis and immigrant bashers this Saturday in Anaheim

On Saturday, December 8, 2001, racist and

anti-immigrant groups from across Southern

California are planning to converge on

Anaheim City Hall to hold a "Defense of

the Homeland" rally to protest a policy change

by the Anaheim Police Department that would

end the deportation of undocumented workers

for minor traffic offenses.

Barbara Coe, founder of the California Coalition

for Immigration Reform (CCIR) and co-author

of Proposition 187, along with many of her

racist friends, plan to use Anaheim City Hall

as a podium to spew their message of hate and

xenophobia for all who are willing to listen.

LET'S SHOW BARBARA AND HER FRIENDS THAT

RACISM & IMMIGRANT BASHING ARE NO LONGER

WELCOME HERE IN ORANGE COUNTY.

All anti-racist and pro-immigrant forces are

invited to meet before the rally at the

Unitarian Church of Orange County between

9:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. to help to organize a

peaceful, nonviolent counterdemonstration

against racism and immigrant bashing.

Providing it doesn't rain, we will walk directly

from the Unitarian Church to Anaheim City Hall

(located about two blocks away) at 200 South

Anaheim Blvd. The counterdemonstration is

scheduled to begin at 11:00 A.M and end at

2:00 P.M.

Please bring materials to make signs, posters,

and banners.

Unitarian Church of Orange County

511 South Harbor Blvd., Anaheim

(On the Southeast corner of Harbor Blvd.

and Santa Ana Street)

DIRECTIONS: Take the I-5 to Harbor Blvd. Go

North to Santa Ana St. Free parking available

at the Unitarian Church or along Santa Ana St.

...pro-overpopulation, pro-cheap labor, pro-superstitious illiteracy lobby that we want no more immigrantion and population growth!!! We want first world labor standards and only immigrants who will uphold those standards. Let's attend the rally to enforce immigration laws and counteract the pro-mass immigration lobotomites!!! High wage unionized jobs and housing for citizens first!!! Birth control to All!!!!

I'm glad

by labor organizer Sunday, Dec. 09, 2001 at 1:58 AM

I'm glad the folks I work with in the labor movement aren't like the asshole who posted above me. Labor realizes it's need to organize on both sides of the border. We are all part of the working-class you fucking moron!

it was fun

by bakunin Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at 2:04 AM

the protest was fun but sad at the same time.

i never realized how insane these wing nut anti-immigrant groups are... they are seiroulsy nutty... i felt sad for some of them.. some guys wouldnt let there wifes talk..we had a counter demonstartion with just about the same amount of people maybe a tiny bit less.

all in all there were around 200 people milling around and a few fights broke out. if anyone took any pictures i'd like to see them.. watch the news tonight and if you check out the newpspaer if you live in OC.

the corporate media and undercover cops were there so that sucked but besides that it was fun times.
