Protest fascists, racists, nazis and immigrant bashers this Saturday in Anaheim
On Saturday, December 8, 2001, racist and
anti-immigrant groups from across Southern
California are planning to converge on
Anaheim City Hall to hold a "Defense of
the Homeland" rally to protest a policy change
by the Anaheim Police Department that would
end the deportation of undocumented workers
for minor traffic offenses.
Barbara Coe, founder of the California Coalition
for Immigration Reform (CCIR) and co-author
of Proposition 187, along with many of her
racist friends, plan to use Anaheim City Hall
as a podium to spew their message of hate and
xenophobia for all who are willing to listen.
LET'S SHOW BARBARA AND HER FRIENDS THAT
RACISM & IMMIGRANT BASHING ARE NO LONGER
WELCOME HERE IN ORANGE COUNTY.
All anti-racist and pro-immigrant forces are
invited to meet before the rally at the
Unitarian Church of Orange County between
9:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. to help to organize a
peaceful, nonviolent counterdemonstration
against racism and immigrant bashing.
Providing it doesn't rain, we will walk directly
from the Unitarian Church to Anaheim City Hall
(located about two blocks away) at 200 South
Anaheim Blvd. The counterdemonstration is
scheduled to begin at 11:00 A.M and end at
2:00 P.M.
Please bring materials to make signs, posters,
and banners.
