Some Important Points about Afghanistan

by Paul Hays Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at 7:22 AM

The direct result of the Najib coup was murder of 1,000's of people. When the Soviet forces occupied the country they used anti-personnel mines to limit opposition groups. Today over 1 million Afghani's live in refugee camps in Iran while nearly 2 million live in refugee camps in Pakistan. This demonstrates the value of national boundaries.

The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan works for a democratic, secular country. In some articles they have supported a government by the King.It is better to write to them so that they can explain what they are working for.

The King of Afghanistan was living in Italy, may return or might be meeting with Afghanistan peoples in Pakistan.

He is referred to using the word Shah. The laws and customs of Afghanistan with a government like this would not be a copy of the Shah of Iran. The similarity is in the use of the word-title Shah and the close geographic locations.

Afghanistan has an indigenous assembly which the Shah has advocated for and he is on record saying that this assembly could meet to become a governing body.

For information about The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan visit: http://www.rawa.org

For news about their founder Meena who was assasinated by the KGB working with religious extremists search your favorite engines using terms:

For information about Soviet arms sales to Afghanistan, Iraq or China's weapon transfers to Sudan now used to continue a war that has murdered over 1,500,000 (1 million and 500 thousand) use search terms Soviet weapons deliveries to Iraq, Afghanistan. Also use the words Soviet anti-personnel mines Afghanistan, Iraq, Cambodia.

1). Meena, 2). Feminist Majority Foundation, 3). Afghanistan Democratic Opposition and Labor Organizations, 4). Payam-e-Zan (this publication is available in Persian, Pashtu and Urdu--these are the 3 major languages in the area.)

RAWA has asked for aid in the form of photography cameras with film. Something that recent college graduates can do easily.
