Sheepdog his creation required no budgets no recruitment and nothing outside of your usual actions. He is a reaction, He like I in one way or another wondered on to this site and read views that were in one way or another stridently opposite of ours We chose just different ways to approach the situation. I enjoy a good debate; He enjoys a loud shouting match. I think that if you do not like the way he posts then you have been using the wrong method fight him by responding in the way you have you increase his visibility and lower your self to a bitter level. This gives him something to respond to and in his mind justifies even more vicious attacks. And the monster is fed again. A better way to deal with it would be not to respond or respond kindly this will frustrate him he will continue to post awhile but it will not satisfy his need and he will find somewhere that will meet his desire for conflict. I am sure he views his banishment as a metal of honor.

I have read some of his posts and his and my tactics are different. As you know my core beliefs are probably closer to his than yours. I have to admit I am of 2 minds on this.

On the one hand I find the SIMPLEton and Bush Sycophant annoying.

On the onther I do not like the idea of someone deciding what is and what is not an acceptable opinion.

SIMPLEton and BA are the most obvious because, while caustic, they are able to express a coherent (I didn't say I agree with it) thought.

As such they act as a spur to robust debate.

I have whiled away more than a few hours dispatching Simpleton only to have him blithely return to his usual bickering and causticity.

One always hopes to sway opinions and convince others of the rightness of their opinion. That is what, I think, makes these two in particular frustratingly annoying - their opinions are fixed and unchanging, and never any acknowledgement that their opposition has a point.

Nevetheless I would argue against stilling their voice on this Board because while they do generate heat another consequence, perhaps to their dismay, is Light.

Your argument seems to be that those that oppose your views should be banned as they don't contribute to the 'activist community' and it's various activities. This is false. A forum which is comprised of nothing but sycophantic toadies does no one a service. Only if your views can stand up to criticism and critique can they be considered valid. Many of the ‘activist community’ are woefully uninformed, or are loaded to the gills with disinformation and propaganda. To defend their points of view isn’t a distraction, it is a service. It will allow them to become educated about subjects about which they have only a cursory understanding. If this changes their mind on certain subjects, then huzzah. If it reinforces their opinions, then they can go forward with the knowledge that they can defend their position.

What IS distracting and disruptive of the mission of the ‘activist community’ is the presence in their midst of worn out old paranoids and members of the conspiracy theory of the month club. Nothing helps belittle and marginalize the ‘movement’ like the presence of a space cadet like Sheepdog. Once he starts opening his mouth about the various and sundry conspiracies taking place all around us, the ‘movement’ begins to resemble a great big Star Trek convention.

On a unrelated point Sheepdog, we should look at your dishonest methodology when attempting to smear me. You post my piquant reply as if it existed in a vacuum, rather than in it’s correct context. Here is what I was replying to:
