KPFK will be featuring special May Day Programming all day on Tuesday - see the 6am through 6pm schedule below
From 11am on, we will feature top of the hour live news reports from the KPFK News Department Staff and/or other KPFK producers in the field. Contact information for these reporters will be provided to Tuesday programmers in an e-mail tomorrow.
The Morning Shows that are produced at KPFK and KPFA will be featuring coverage of May Day 2012 in the 7am, 8am, and 10am hours - and will include reports from the field if there is breaking news. I imagine (but have not yet received confirmation) that Amy and her team will be featuring May Day coverage in the 6am and 9am hours - these hours will not include live field reports from our team; though if there is very important breaking news, we will interrupt DN! for live reports.
From 11am to 1pm, Betto will be hosting a May Day inflected Global Village show.
The 1pm hour will be special KPFK produced May Day coverage
2pm will be Al Jazeera; 2:30pm will be Hear in the City, which is focusing on worker's rights related matters this week.
The 3pm hour will be more KPFK produced May Day coverage
The 4pm and 5pm hours (Voices From The Front Lines & Background Briefing, respectively) will continue our May Day coverage.
The 6pm news hour will feature coverage of May Day 2012 from around the world, the country, as well as both Northern abd Southern California
cheers & solidarity,
KPFK interim Program Director
