UK PROVOKES ARGENTINA WITH THE DEPLOYMENT OF PRINCE WILLIAMS TO THE MALVINAS ISLANDS.

Los Angeles—The Alliance Philippines today condemns Britain's Prince William deployment as a search and rescue pilot in the Falkland Islands, that the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Saturday, a deployment which has infuriated Argentina. The 29-year-old, who is second in line to the throne, has been sent to the South Atlantic archipelago as a routine part of his duties as an Royal Air Force (RAF) Sea King helicopter pilot.

We stand with the people of Argentina, the land of Commandante Che Guevarra , that Prince William’s six-week stint on the barren islands is a blatant imperialist imposition and an affront to Argentina. It has enraged the Argentinian people which stands that the Falklands or as they called it the Malvinas Islands are occupied Argentine territory

The Alliance believed that his provocation came at the time ahead of the 30th anniversary of the war between Britain and Argentina over the Falklands. The windswept islands, home to about 3,000 people staunchly loyal to Britain, have been held by Britain since 1833. William, the eldest son of the heir to the throne Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, arrived in the British overseas territory on Thursday.

The Falklands ( Malvinas) War of 1982.

Although , we know that the Falkland Wars started on April 2, 1982, by the then-ruling junta in Argentina invaded the Falklands, sparking a 74-day war with Britain which cost the lives of 649 Argentine and 255 British troops., we believe that the Argentina has the right to exercise their sovereign right as a nation to claim what is theirs. We must remember that the Malvinas was annexed by Britain in 1883 and held it until then.

The United States sided with UK in the Falklands Wars in 1982. But Argentina’s armed forces especially its air force put up a good fight humbling the UK forces by sinking its modern but ineffective naval ships. They bloodied the arrogant British naval forces that sent an invading fleet to impose its power in the South Atlantic.

The Alliance believes that the United Kingdom is out to maximize the propaganda for its imperial ambitions. It is akin to the Chinese bullying of the Philippines in the South China seas. As usual the US is propping up the Philippine and is using it as a bludgeon against China.

The UK defense press says “William's first shift at the RAF Mount Pleasant base on East Falkland -- a garrison built after the war -- involved briefings on the local flying environment and familiarization with the area and the job.” The Alliance called it “rubbish.”
