This perhaps mentally unbalanced fellow became excited and disrupted the General Assembly for at least a half an hour.
The police came in to possibly control him but instead a few of the Occupy Los Angeles organizers wrapped their arms around him and and eventually coaxed him lovingly into a waiting ambulance.
The police and the crowd cooperated. The meeting went on .......Proposals were made and the incident was not discussed any further.
Someone had called in an alarm to the LAPD describing a man with a pirate hat and a rifle prowling around the Occupy LA encampment. The police restrained several of the Occupy Los Angeles security folks who were up watching over the area in the wee hours of the morning. The police were questioned by several of the main Occupy Los Angeles organizers and the tents of the detainees were searched. Nothing was found, the men were released and the campers continued to sleep soundly. It was reasoned that a prank had been called into take revenge on one of the security people who had probably offended a fellow camper.
