During this next week I passed by a unique experience, to undergo surgery for a medium to large - placement of bypass grafts, necessary for revascularization of myocardium exposed to diabetes, smoking, and to emotions and work for 30 years dominated my daily life.

After a heart attack two years ago developed with a slow and progressive worsening I underwent a coronary angiography in the early months of this year that showed severe damage in all coronary arteries. Result - bypass.

Inhabiting a small town in the state of Espirito Santo - Alegre, with its thirty thousand inhabitants was referred to the nearest city-reference - Itapemirim, better known as the birthplace of the mega-star in Latin music - Roberto Carlos, specifically the Evangelical Hospital where I was subjected to a series of tests and had surgery scheduled for the Unified Health System (SUS) on 05/07/2011.

SUS is a program of universal health theoretically giving the same rights and treatment conditions for all citizens.
