Recognition finally coming in MSM that Obama has made a major political blunder in alienating senior citizens.
In the Health Care debate, Obama included a $400 Billion cut in Medicare. "In the first showdown over the Senate health care bill, Democrats on Thursday successfully defended more than $400 billion in Medicare cuts, turning back a potentially lethal stab at the measure." http://rightwingnews.com/2009/12/democrats-win-a-400-billion-cut-in-medicare/ Despite rising costs generally and especially for health care faced by senior citizens, the Obama administration refused any cost of living adjustment for social security in 2011, two years in a row. During Obama's "Move America Forward" events at college campuses across the country, he has spoken to youth, students, gays, and minorities. Notably absent has been any mention of senior citizens. Finally today, the Christian Science Monitor, still functioning as part of the mainstream press, finally discovered this issue: "The real up-and-coming force driving Election 2010? Seniors". http://www.csmonitor.com/layout/set/text/USA/Election-2010/2010/1101/The-real-up-and-coming-force-driving-Election-2010-Seniors "Much is being made of the 'enthusiasm gap' between Republicans and Democrats, but there's no lack of enthusiasm when it comes to older voters. Eighty-four percent of seniors who are registered to vote say they will 'definitely' vote, says the Pew center, a figure that is 9 percent higher than the previous record in 1994." "According to pollster Scott Rasmussen, those 65 and older account for about 12.5 percent of eligible voters, but could reach close to 30 percent of voters on Tuesday. . . . 'They vote more than their numbers in every election cycle, but in midterms the numbers go up dramatically.'" For decades following the New Deal, Democrats maintained majority status in Congress promising to defend Social Security against Republican opposition. Senior citizens were as big a Democratic block as organized labor. Yet to seniors now, Obama and the Democratic Party have managed to position themselves as the leading political threat to them, as of the moment. Time and time again we have heard how Obama brought intelligence to the White House. Obama's pushing seniors to the GOP is pure political stupidity.

I can't believe that a follower of Fascism like lord lox would attach a fellow Fascist. like Obama. Or is it just a compulsion to exhibit its photo album of inanity while proving how simple it is..

....I'm a constitutional monarchist..as anyone who has personally known me for any length of time will tell you....which is a far cry from what you call 'fascism'...just ask the citizens of any of 7 or so European countries which still retain that form of government and are doing quite well by it,thank you very much....but if you are indeed willing to admit that Barokeydoke is a fascist, then you should have no trouble understanding my vehement opposition to him.

A 'Briton' is a native or resident of "Britain"...and that is the common accepted usage of both words...you clearly either did not know that or you simply didn't know how to spell "Britain" correctly...either way, i don't intend to leave the US any time soon simply because you dislike me or my political philosophy...intolerant much?

you already have shown your incredible ignorance and simple mindedness. While declaring such 'informed knowledge'. Still working on the twit, I see. The senior citizens and retirees are still getting screwed while lord lox posts meandering wanks as if it was meaningful because inbred twits like the lord lox must believe they are relevant.

Well, then perhaps you would be gracious enough to point out some examples of what you allege is my "incredible ignorance"..merely stating that proves nothing...clearly you hate my guts and are honked off by the fact that I made it a point to show your spelling shortcomings and your utter intolerance of anybody with whom you disagree politically...so stick with what you know best...meritless ad hominems and historical ignorance...at least I don't have to refer to Wikipedia to cite the history of the land of my ancestors...don't you wish you could say the same?

you were wrong about spelling "Briton" ( a slang term you were too ignorant and stupid to check before you shot your 'mouth' off ) and like a poorly trained monkey, you now just keep typing; showing all of the readership exactly how much a pompous fool you are. One that uses such meaningless and simple minded terms as 'lefties' which illustrate the shallow measure of your simpering world view. Seniors are still getting shafted while the lord of lox, capers and dances to the tune inside its tiny head. Having nothing to add it just keeps making noise.

.....you were the one who had to consult Wikipedia to know the difference between a 'Briton' and "Britain"....the 2 are not synonymous and/or interchangeable...anything else you care to offer?...besides a long stream of ad hominems I mean

the Wiki link was for the pompous jackass, lord lox, because it didn't understand the term "Briton" and in order to enlighten this fool about its ignorance of terms when it typed I was spelling 'Britain' wrong. Now it tries to say it was my error. haw And it can't understand this thread is about seniors being crushed by inflation and rising health care costs as the lord jackass quibbles about its own ignorance, sloth and stupidity.

You thought 'Briton' was a location...since you asked why didn't I go back "there"....Arthur Pendragon (known to the Romans as Ambrosius Aurelianus) was "King of the Britons"..circa 460-535 AD....sorry,dude...your Alinskyesque verbal acrobatics don't work here
