Outrage on West Side: GOP Opponent Accuses Waxman of Supporting Hamas

by Hymie Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 at 12:52 PM

In a mass mailing, Henry Waxman GOP Opponent Chuck Wilkerson Accuses Waxman of supporting pro-Hamas and Anti-Israel policies.

People on the West Side of Los Angeles today reacted with anger and disdain over a mailer from El Segundo resident and GOP Waxman opponent Chuck Wilkerson. The mailer stated that Waxman:

"Supports pro-Hamas and Anti-Israel policies."

The attachment shows the mailer. The quote appears near the bottom of the left hand side.

One long time district resident noted that from the day Waxman went to Washington decades ago he has tirelessly and endlessly worked as hard for Israel as anyone. To many, if anyone symbolizes paraphrasing Stephen Decatur with "Israel, right or wrong, our Israel," it would be Henry Waxman.

According to Wilkerson's web site, he is a "member and donor to" the Tea Party.

Wilkerson's site also lists him as a member and donor to the ACLJ, the American Center for Law and Justice, www.aclj.org.

According to a pdf article at http://www.aclj.org/media/pdf/TownhallMagazine-Sekulow.pdf :

"When [the ACLJ] was formed in 1990, it was the brainchild of noted televangelist Pat Robertson and a relatively unknown lawyer named Jay Sekulow."

Observers doubted whether the time had come in the district for Pat Robertson and the Tea Party.
