The installation of two typical huts of the landless laborer's of MST camps (Brazilian Movement of the Without Earth) in Paris it is part of the commemorations of the 25 years of militancy of the movement in favor of the land reform in Brazil.

The initiative left of the organizations Via Campesina (Rural Road), Frères des Hommes and CRID, the Center of Research and Information for the Development, that they will maintain the huts in the Joachim Bellay square, in the first district, in the middle of the center of Paris, until October 4.

One of the huts was raised beside the Source of the Innocent ones and it is surrounded of earth and of an exhibition of pictures of Sebastião Salgado.

The other reproduces a school of MST, where next days projections of films and debates should happen promoted by several organizations.

The president of CRID, Bernard Salamand, considers MST an exemplary movement in the recent history of the social fights and one of the pillars of the World Social Forum.

To accompany the installation of the huts, Andréia Borges, of the national direction of MST, it explained in interview to the French press that the movement obtained a lot of victories in Brazil from his creation in 1984, allowing the access to the earth to a million people, about 370 thousand Brazilian families.

Andréa Borges detached that today MST defends a wider fight, that besides the access to the earth, the movement search the preservation of the environment and of the quality of the people's life.

"The combat for the alimentary sovereignty if it turned an international flag", she declared the militant, "against the model of dominant industrial agriculture imposed by the multinationals."

For two years, when it was at Right University, I worked in lawsuits regarding current disputes of occupations of lands in the State of São Paulo. I am happy when seeing that the movement that I helped to create if it turned so big, efficient and international.
