Checkpoint response is pleased to announce that we now have an e-mail address! Please address inquiries, checkpoint-related announcements, and comments to noretenes@gmail.com.
We will also be doing our best to announce checkpoints in other parts of the country, so if you hear about one, please let us know through the e-mail.
In addition to announcing this weekend's checkpoints (the ones we were able to find about, anyway), we will also be bringing you a few updates from the struggle against checkpoints.

In the checkpoint-plagued community of Escondido, California, the police will not only continue to hold checkpoints, but will actually increase their use of the military tactic despite efforts of activist organizations and the ACLU. And here in Los Angeles, community activists have spearheaded an effort to standardize text message announcements of checkpoints and migra/ICE/Border Patrol raids. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the confusion and duplication surrounding those texts we all get. Here is their statement:
In the midst of the holiday season, since “El Dia de La Virgen” (Dec 12), the South East, South Central and South East LA communities have experienced an aggressive intensification of security, DUI, and immigration check points that have resulted in multiple arrests, costly confiscations of vehicles, and non-sobriety related fines.
These attacks and intimidation tactics, ironically, come after the recent introduction of an immigration reform bill (CIR A.S.A.P.) by Luis Gutierrez (D-IL). We are demanding freedom in our communities and calling everyone to be alert, document, and spread the word if you come across a check point. Please call 323-331-1334 and text the following information:
CONFIRMED (or UNCONFIRMED) Check Point (or I.C.E. Raid)!
DATE(MM/DD)
TIME (00:00A/P)
LOCATION (Street/cross street)
Spread the Word!
FECHA (MM/DD)
HORA (00:00A/P)
LUGAR (Calle/Intersección)
¡Corran la voz!

HERE! HERE!!! I / WE, are whole- heartedly,200% in favor of theses traffic stops. They have more than obviously PROVEN to be a surefire way of keeping our roads and highways free and safe of dangerous, unqualified, undocumented, uninsured, and unlicensed individuals operating motor vehicles of any type in this county. These sites should be implemented on a regular basis in every county, city,or state for that matter.Unsafe driving conditions on our roads caused because of incompetent operators,is the main cause for skyrocketing insurance rates for the rest of us who abide by the regulations of the road.A positive by- product of these security checkpoints helps law enforcement "WEED-OUT" undesirable ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS,adding to the ever growing problem of traffic jams on our already congested highways.Yes,indeed.....More of these checkpoints, and more often! If you you are an informed American Citizen, you should have no problem with the implementation of these checkpoints, and getting onboard. This IS the United Staes Of America.....NOT MEXICO.Mexico,NOR it's squatting occupiers, have any kind of say in how we run our road safety, and transportation systems.Have you,as an American, spent any time driving in a Mexican city(Tijuana) lately?....??? You have a lot of gaul, mexico, and your pro-hispanic-conquistic-overthrowers.Keep your noses out of our business.May I suggest that you divert your energies to taking over you own countries traffic, and political problems. They are all about 30 miles,SOUTH,THAT WAY! thankyou!
