On July 5th the news was broadcast live on "'Telesur"' that the democratically elected president of Honduras, President Manuel Zelaya, circled helplessly over the Honduran airport , unable to land in his own country while his supporters were attacked below by the military.
According to reports, tear gas was shot at the crowd of thousands and at least two people were murdered in the melee.
Any local Honduran media criticizing the coup is under attack so the news coming out of Honduras is limited; but even so, the people have made it clear that they are not giving up and will continue to fight for their democracy and against the dictatorship which has taken over and continues to claim their legitimacy with repeated lunacy.
