ALEX SÁNCHEZ DENIED BAIL!

by Anna Thursday, Jul. 02, 2009 at 2:02 AM

After many hours of waiting in the hot sun in front of the Federal Court House in Downtown L.A., members of the community were dismayed to receive the news that the judge had denied bail to Alex Sanchez; this although more than a million dollars had been gathered along with hundreds of letters of support from around the world.

6/30/09

According to Tom Hayden, who had been in the courtroom during the hearing, it was as if the judge and the prosecutor were fallowing a script that they were not willing to veer from. However, everyone present agreed that all the evidence presented was very flimsy, and that if this is all the prosecution can come up with, it’s unlikely that their case will hold water in the end

Does this case mesh with the 18th St stuff?

by anon Sunday, Jul. 05, 2009 at 5:59 PM

I read in the times that they are going after the CLC click of 18th St. That gang neighbors MS13. Also, I think there's another 18th st click up north of MS13 too.

Is there a coordinated set of arrests against these two drug gangs in westlake?

In the 18th st. thing, they busted a lawyer who may or may not have been involved with the gang. The parallels are interesting. It could be thse high-profile guys (the lawyer and Alex) are decoys or bait to bring a media spin to the indictments. A lot of the people busted seem to be guilty.

Or it's an attempt to sink a couple people who the FBI see as too close to the gangs, who prevent the FBI or other police from violating these gangsters rights.
