ALL OUT TO PROTEST THE MASSACRES IN GAZA!
We must act now, to halt these brutal massacres! Over 200 people were killed in Gaza on Saturday, December 27 in a series of Israeli attacks - with US-made and paid for weaponry - upon the Palestinian people. These cold-blooded killings come on top of a siege on Gaza that has killed hundreds by depriving them of medical care, deprived Gazans of electricity, power and fuel and attempted to strangle the life of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The people of Gaza are standing steadfast in the face of these massacres but our voices must be heard to demand an immediate end to the massacres and an end to US aid to Israel! The Israeli military is promising more massacres - we must say no NOW!

Protest Organized by: Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, Palestinian American Womens Association, National Council of Arab Americans, Arab Community Center of the Inland Empire, Palestine Aid Society, Palestine American Congress, Free Palestine Alliance, ANSWER Coalition, Arab American Press Guild ,Free Iraq Now, International Action Center, Orange County Friends of Palestine, Campaign to End 'Israeli' Apartheid, Students for Justice in Palestine at UCLA, Students for Justice in Palestine at California State University of San Bernardino

The ANSWER Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom, Free Palestine Alliance, National Council of Arab Americans, and Al-Awda, International Palestine Right to Return Coalition are calling for Tuesday, December 30 to be a National Day of Action to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and to demand an immediate end to the murderous attacks carried out by20the Israeli military against the people of Gaza.

In Los Angeles, there will be a demonstration at the Israeli Consulate at 4:30pm. We urge all progressive people to attend. Bring signs, banners and Palestinian flags to show your solidarity with the suffering people and denounce the inhuman war crimes committed against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Along with the L.A. action, demonstrations will also be held in cities around the country. See below for an initial list.

For more info call 213-251-1025 or e-mail answerla@answerla.org.
Hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza have been massacred and wounded today as Israel has launched a massive bombing campaign against the people of Gaza. The bombing r ampage took place as thousands of Palestinian children were in the streets on their way home from school. Palestinian parents were running frantically in the streets looking for their children as U.S.-provided F-16s and Apache helicopters rained down more than 100 bombs and missiles on Gaza.

The U.S.-backed Israeli Occupation Force destroyed every security station in Gaza. AFP reported: "There was no space left in the morgue and bodies were piled up in the emergency room and in the corridors, as many of the wounded screamed in pain."

Because of the U.S.-backed Israeli blockade and strangulation of the people of Gaza for the past 18 months there is little or no medicine to treat the wounded, electricity for hospitals, or food or clean water for much of the population.

An Israeli military spokesperson said, "The operation is 'only just beginning'." The Israeli Defense Ministry said in a statement: "The action will continue and will widen as much as is demanded according to the evaluation of the situation by the high command of the army."

Take Action:
- Demonstrations Across the Country
- Send a letter to the State Department and Congress

Join LA Jews for Peace in a
Demonstration to Protest the Israeli Siege of Gaza
Next Tuesday, Dec. 30, 3-5:30 PM
Westwood Federal Building (Wilshire & Veteran; 3-hour visitor parking in the Federal Building lot).

As you know, the situation is Gaza has been intolerable, but with full support of the U.S. government has gotten worse. This morning Israel launched a massive air attack on Gaza that killed close to 200 people. This attack was carried out using American supplied F-16s, Apache helicoptors, and guided missiles. Now besides a blockade causing shortage of food, medicine, fuel, electric power, and commercial goods, there has been a massacre. The UN Secretary General, the Swiss government, and other groups have called the situation a humanitarian crisis and a violation of the 4th Geneva Convention. It is surely a violation of Jewish and international law.

The massacre and blockade are not only cruel and inhumane, but also counter-productive in that they fuel violence against Israel and works to undermine efforts to achieve peace through negotiations.
LA Jews for Peace urges everyone to speak out against the attack and blockade, including our own government's support of it. We call for an immediate cease fire and a resumption of shipments of food and medical supplies to the people of Gaza, a hold of U.S. aid to Israel until the blockade is ended, and admittance of journalists to Gaza to report on the desperate conditions.

Join LA Jews for Peace in a protest
Tuesday, Dec. 30, 3-5:30 PM, Westwood Federal Building
LA Jews will have signs and banners; bring your own; but no flags please since our message is internationalism and humanism, not nationalism.

sounds like it can't hurt

by PrionPartyy Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at 6:52 PM

Can' t hurt THEM!

So why not hit em where it will hurt?

If you look at your tax form, you will see a little box that you can mark to get a small refund if you do not want your taxes being used to fund abortions.

How about a new class action law suit that would add a box to mark if you do not want your taxes being used to fund the destruction of your Palestinian neighbor's lives and lifes. precidence is there.

I know that I do not want my palestinian neighbor's blood staining my hands any more than I want my neighbor's unborn babies staining my hands. How about YOU?

no delusions

by PrionPartyy Friday, Jan. 02, 2009 at 9:05 PM

The democraps and republitrash would just refund your cash and still give Zionists what the Zionists ask for (demand). It would just mean less funds for local projects as nothing would change in how much they give to Zionists. Political whores seem to be pretty good at working around the rule of law.

Less funds for roads and bridges and education etc...they will just raise taxes or create more debt to get local projects paid for. Or cancel the local projects. And that would piss off Americans even more. Hit em where it hurts.

It would also act as a referendum among the taxpayers AND be a good venue for publicity. No telling how far it could create actual change.
