When Muntader al-Zaidi threw his shoes at Bush, he reportedly said,"This is from the widows, the orphans and those killed in Iraq."

Al-Zaidi was acing on a matter of principle and quite correctly connected Bush to the hundreds of thousands of needless deaths in Iraq.
I heard the statement reported on Amy Goodman and Pacifica.
I also heard the statement vaguely described, but not as a quote on the scene, on mainstream radio.
As of 9:39 p.m. P.S.T.m Monday , December 15, 2008, a search on Google News for his statement gets "Results 1 - 1 of 1 for This-is-from-the-widows-the-orphans-and-those-killed-in-Iraq. (0.07 seconds)"
Apparently the Arabic press got the quote right, as millions of people in the Middle East have risen up in his defense and called for his release.
However, in the land of the free, the written press censors any statement of connection between Bush and the reality of what he has done in Iraq.
Now the guy has a broken arm and broken ribs. he clearly did not have a broken arm or broken ribs when he was taken by Bush's minons in the secret service.
How will the media tell of this? will they tell you about the secret service brutalizing the man??? they haven't yet.
But you know the people of Iraq and the midle east know about his torture at the hand of Bush's minions. They cheer the guy for calling it like it is, and demand he be let go.
So, the guys stands up for the people being brutalized and killed in Bush's chosen war. So what happens to him? He gets brutalized too.
His torture at the hand of Bush's minions just showcases that his words were true.
The media can't tell you of his torture without proving him right. So, they say nothing.
