AJLPP Supports Dec. 12 People’s Mass Actions Against Charter Change

Los Angeles- The Alliance-Philippines (AJLPP) National Coordinator Mario Santos vehemently condemns in the highest terms the GMA controlled House of Representatives led by well known GMA puppets Speaker Prospero Nograles that the impeachment complaint by voting it down by a vote of 183-21 Last December 2.

The AJLPP also hail the Thai people in their recent victory against the deposed Thai prime minister Songchai who was ordered to quit by Thai Constitutional court for cheating in the elections.

The AJLPP based in the United States and the Filipino American community also strongly and militantly supports the mass actions on December 12th against the charter change and against the imperial and fascist presidency of Gloria-Macapagal-Arroyo in Manila and the rest of the Philippines.

Santos said, "Again, they showed us that they (GMA and her subalterns) can do what they like as long as GMA have the majority in her pockets. They arrogantly and bluntly showed that they do not care about the rights of the minority and what is right and wrong.

By dismissing the impeachment complaint by ruling that it lacked substance, the majority acted like an imperial court. It is very clear from the onset where their intentions lies. They wanted to change the constitution of 1987 and extend their terms.

Solidarity with the Thai people

“PGMA and her cohorts are now shaking with the example of Thailand protests. They incurred the ire of the international community for criticizing Thailand’s “ people’s power” and asking the Filipinos not to emulate the Thai example.

The AJLPP also pointed that the Thai people like the Filipino people have a strong tradition and a long history of resistance against political oppressions against the Thai generals since the late 1970’s and corrupt politicians.

The AJLPP also commends the stalwarts of the opposition and all the progressive lawmakers for standing up against tyrant puppet of the US Imperialist Gloria Arroyo and her cohorts in the House. They might have conducted an exercise in futility but they bravely accomplished their duty and have earned their pay.

The AJLPP also are very positive about the latest development that the broad united front of the religious, opposition and democratic forces is actively moving against GMA’ s charter change schemes.

To the GMA lackeys in the House- your day will come and the people of the Philippines and their compatriots outside in the United States cannot forget how you frustrated their democratic rights and how you kowtow to the imperial empress of the Philippines. AJLPP’s Santos statement ended.

Fight Charter Change!

OUST GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, NOW!
