ANSWER moving ppl east on Sunset @ Vermont, but a large contingent is demanding to go west into WeHo. Chanting "whose streets? Our streets!" And "West on Sunset." Cops threatening arrest for illegal assembly. Horses charging.

About 500? people headed back down Sunset, stopped by copz at Vermont. After a stand-off, traffic was cleared to Hollywood and Highland. Our streets!

Met by 500 people and Hollywood and Highland. A delay at Highland and Sunset, some copz posturing, and then the north side of Sunset opens up, traffic free. Maybe 1000 marching into WeHo--from Silverlake to West Hollywood. The crowd's exuberant. Two dozen cop cars before and after the marchers, escorting them in.
My feet are aching, heading home, smiling.
