A caller from the scene estimated at least 4,000 people there. Second caller estimates 5,500 there with more streaming in. A march down Santa Monica Blvd is set to start soon. Tons of corporate media vans there. The vibe is good. An estimated 50 LAPD also near the rally site. Streets in the area blocked off.

Have just crossed the 101 freeway. Police are allowing the march. Earlier situation between protesters and police at Vermont & Hollywood was resolved without incident. There are also reports of second large group of marchers on Highland moving south of Hollywood Blvd.
