The City of Orange, CA will be passing an ordinance Saturday, January 11th criminalizing day laborers. The City of Orange has a memo of understanding with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) stating that the local police force can and will cooperate with ICE in the aprehension of criminalized "illegal" immigrants. Local supporters of the group called "The Minutemen" showed much support of this ordinance at the last city council meeting. More and more local governments around the nation are passing ordinances just like this one.
While the nation sits at home and watches polls of who will win it's rigged elections, the government is passing more and more law criminalizing it's own people. These laws will eventually throw millions of people in prison enslaving them. While groups like the minutemen scapegoat the immigrant population for all of their own problems, caused by themselves, the government slips by hurting the population, one racist hit at a time.
The time to act is Now! Eventually you or somebody you know will be kidnapped by the people that say they are here to serve and protect you. You could be seperated from your family and friends, everything you know. All of this for what? The real reasons for this happening are plain and simple. A large majority of your community is being criminalized for simply trying to live. Unless you act Now, there is nothing that will change this.
Voting for someone this next election year will only pass on your own responsibility to somebody else. Voting is not enough! To make change in your community, it is YOUR responsibility to stand up and take charge of your own life! If you are hungry, eat. If you are tired, sleep. Stop asking those with more for the simple right to live. Take what is rightfully yours. Everything is for everyone and nothing is for ourselves. If we do not all share our lives fairly, we will only be consumed by our own greed.
Join us this Saturday in the City of Orange to protest and make a cry out to the world that we are being oppressed. Without justice, there will be no peace and until there are no more racist ICE agents or police, let's take it the streets!
