8-25-07, 12:20 pm - Protesters are gathering at Olympic & Broadway for a march to protest the deportation of Elvira Arellano and the ongoing ICE raids.
A caller from the scene estimates about 600 people there now.

I would estimate about 2000-3000 people on the street. I know the police will say under 1000 and the organizer will say 4 to 5 times as larger than mines.

Immigrant March in LA, August 25, 2007
The LA Times and the LAPD as always will under estimate the size of the protest. And it will not be possible to prove them wrong.
The organizer didn't allow photographers to take pictures on the stage at the start of the rally when the time was perfect to document the size of the rally with pictures. The stage was the only high-ground spot around.
I estimate the crowd to be around or below 2,000.
