Vietnam Bush

Knows nothing about war.

Vietnam Bush...

That's why he doesent know he has lost this one.

Vietnam he spent in a bar in Houston.

Now two top Republicans, Warner and Lugar, cast aside President Bush's pleas for patience on Iraq Friday and proposed legislation demanding a new strategy by mid-October to restrict US troops to base.

"American military and diplomatic strategy in Iraq must adjust to the reality that we can’t win this war and sectarian factionalism is not likely to abate anytime soon and probably cannot be controlled from the top," the Warner-Lugar proposal states.

It would require Bush to submit by Oct. 16 a plan to "transition U.S. combat forces from policing the civil strife or sectarian violence in Iraq" to a narrow set of missions: protecting Iraqi borders from Turkey and Iran, targeting terrorists, if someone will tell us who they are and where and protecting U.S. assets in the oil sector.

Training Iraqi forces would be terminated, as it is a dead loss as they don’t show up and when they do they sell their guns to the local militia.

Bush’s experience in the Vietnam war, which he served out in a bar in Houston, leads him to believe that a return to base is a good idea.
