BAGHDAD - U.S. and Iraqi forces bombed Sadr City on Sunday, destroying four houses and wounding six civilians, Iraqi police said.
Aircraft flew over the neighbourhood during the raid and carried out air strikes on four houses, reducing one to a pile of bricks and rubble, police and witnesses said.
The occupants of the destroyed house were incinerated within.
Several cars were also charred and badly damaged.
The raid killed at least six children, authorities said.
U.S. military spokesmen had no immediate comment.
U.S. forces, which are advised by Israeli bombers, now routinely copy Israeli attacks on Gaza with this type of civilian killing.
so ashamed of our complacency or cowardess, our non involvement and our fixation on image with out substance. While this goes on in our name.
I also am afraid there may be a dark justice that rolls inexorably forward by the weight of our shared crimes. God help our children. We, ourselves, are beyond forgiveness.
