About 20 workers and organizers stood together in front of Assi Supermarket this morning while speakers from Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance, National Lawyers' Guild, CHIRLA, and other organizations announced a 1.5 million dollar victory for workers' rights. Korean and Latino workers together have been organizing with KIWA to demand unpaid wages, work breaks, and other improvements in conditions at one of Koreatown's largest community owned grocery stores.
