In the aftermath of another school shooting in the US, many will be asking why and some will be trying to lay blame. The shooter's parents will be blamed for how they raised him; the school will be blamed for how it dealt with his mental illness; and his schoolmates past and present will be blamed for how they teased and ostracized him. However, the blame will mostly not be laid where it appropriately belongs; on the head of capitalism and the social values that it has nourished.

No individual can be looked at out of context of the larger society, and this young man and what he became cannot be understood without first looking at the society he came from. Unfortunately, the "angry loner" type that has done these sorts of shootings in the past is not the product of an isolated genetic mutation that happens unpredictably and that cannot be prevented. Such people are a real product of their environment and the direct result of capitalism's impact on personal development and mental health.

This society promotes individuality, self-absorption, and competition over solidarity and collective struggle. Is it any surprise that some young people are so incapable of not only identifying with the group and its larger good, but also of even, in severe cases, forming any kind of meaningful relationship with another individual? These people after years of painful experiences can come to the conclusion that they are completely unloved and unlovable. Because we are social beings, this conclusion makes life difficult to continue.

Capitalism is daily bombarding our self-esteem; we are never good enough under capitalism. There is always some drug to make us happier, some surgery to make us thinner, some car or house or job that will make us more respected. The inevitable consequence of this pressure is that some people will consider themselves failures when they judge themselves up against the values of this society. In some cases this will only further increase some individual's isolation and anger.

This terrible brutal crime is an ugly, warped but nonetheless, direct product of big business'‚ value system. Capitalism will continuously attempt to encourage an obsession with money, fame and the worship of individualism. This in turn will inevitably be accompanied by what we saw at Virginia Tech this week. This will not be the last individual so void of solidarity as to massacre his classmates. The outpouring of empathy towards the victims of this crime is a sign of the enormous human and working class solidarity that exists in this society. The crime itself is a consequence of the corrupt and rotten values of those who are in control at the top.

Gun control is a killer.

The episode of the wanton murder of 32 innocents, unarmed and trapped in a chamber of death by a university that had forbidden the possession of fire arms on campus. The ban on fire arms were the result of a previous shooting of two other people and the institution instituted a ban.

Except for the R.O.T.C. armory which was next to the building in which the methodical, efficient executions occurred while federally controlled fully armed professional law enforcement waited until the killing was done. India exits chained to prevent escape.

I want you to imagine yourself being allowed to chain the exits of a large building in broad daylight with out alarms going off with even the janitorial crew or faculty in about 20 seconds let alone campus security in this spook facility.

Then we get the Project MOCKINGBIRD echo about ‘disturbed’ and ‘sensative’ and very well trained, with real fire arms, not video game training, ‘loners/guns’.

And the predictable push to dissarm the citizen.

This STINKS of black ops.

This entire incident screams ARM YOURSELF the ‘authorities’ will let you die.

And bathe in your blood for their own benifit.

This morning I read that the Virginia Tech shooter died with the name Ismail Ax written in red ink on his arm. The mainstream press doesn't seem to have a clue as to what this might mean. To quote Indiana Jones, "Didn't any of you guys go to Sunday School?"

The story starts with a man named Abraham. He is the father of the Jews, the Muslims and the Christians. He was born in Iraq, the son of a wealthy idol manufacturer. He came to believe that there was only one true God and, according to tradition, took up his ax and destroyed his father's idols.

Eventually he left Iraq and moved to what is now known as Israel. He had a son with his concubine whom she named Ishmael. The Muslim world prefers the Arabic spelling of the name: Ismail. Eventually Abraham had a son by his rightful wife and named the son Isaac. Ishmael and his mother were disinherited and sent out into what is now Saudi Arabia. Isaac became the heir.

Eventually, God decided to test Abraham by telling him to kill his son, Isaac. Abraham took up the knife, but God stopped him at the last moment. Isaac lived and eventually became a man of great wealth. Ishmael became a desert warrior chieftain.

The Jews are the descendants of Isaac, the Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael.

In the 7th Century, Muhammad, the founder of Islam, re-wrote the story, claiming that Ismail was the true faithful descendant of Abraham and that it was he, not Isaac, who God told Abraham to sacrifice. Ismail was the one saved. For Muslims, Ismail (not Isaac) was the true 'Son of Sacrifice.' In the original version of the story, Abraham used a knife, in some of the later Muslim versions, he used an Ax.

Flash forward 1,400 years: a sullen, angry young man who rages against rich people and apparently against Christians, writes a play in which a mother and son try to kill his step-father, but in the end the boy (age about 13, the age many think Ismail was when he was exiled) is murdered by the step-father with 'a deadly blow'. Father issues? Yeah, I think so."

You can never say never, but that seems like a pretty thin reed to hang a theory on at this point given what we know.

The killer obviously had serious mental problems, no one has reported that he went to a mosque, and the descriptions of him make him seem too withdrawn and shy to seriously discuss Islam with anyone. Additionally, the guy has written a suicide note and made a suicide video and although neither have been released yet, no one has mentioned any sort of references to Islam.

That's why trying to hang everything on the words "Ismail AX" would seem to be a real stretch, particularly in this day and age, when so many people his age have off-the-wall nicknames on instant messenger and MySpace. Combine that with the fact that Seung Hui Cho was severely mentally disturbed and loved to try to be mysterious (He apparently signed his name "?" more than a few times) and "Ismail AX" could mean just about anything.

Since that's the case, I think it's a good idea for people not to read too much into the name "Ismail AX" at this point. More likely than not, it's relatively unimportant rather than being a window to the shooter's soul.

What would bring some light to this affair of very suspicious events at the VT university would be the time line of this young man prior to the massacre. Like who was giving hims medication and where was he when he was being 'treated'. Everything else is crap and distractions.

Aside from the glaringly obvious link to the push for gun confiscation.

No one needs the "right" to own a gun that can kill 30 people in 9 minutes.

no one needs a government who has the only method of lethal response.

And then waits until the killing is done before responding.

Nine minutes?

You're full of sh*t. The feds had the police wait for hours as students and faculty, Un armed, and helpless just like these psyops operators want us.

From instruments that they themselves create to terrorize the people.

Anybody who believes that we should just trust the "authorities" to protect the people need to renounce their citizenship and go to England or Australia where in the aftermath of the removal of the right to own a fire arm, the incidence of violent crime has sky rocketed.

There is certainly the legitimate excuse of 'the system' for the occasional shooting spree if the timing is perceived as irrelevent. If the media buzzword "senseless" raises your eyebrow also, think a bit more about probability and timing of incidents like OKLA City (loner Tim McVeigh), Columbine, 9/11, Mr. Muhammed the gas station sniper and now Cho. All these were described as senseless acts of violence in corporate media to imply they were random in nature. However, the pattern leading up to the GW Bush regime's invasion of Iraq is timed with 9/11 and Muhammed. OKLA city and Columbine are timed with the lead up to Clinton's bombing of Kosovo..

Then there's questions about Columbine having senior operatives present during the shooting who may have "suicided" Harris and Klebold;

BTW concerning the .223 used in 'popular' rifles as the mini14, AR15 etc. etc.

Anything less than a .30 cal. high velocity round is ineffective against light armor and battle rifles were designed to penetrate a steel helmet so they are more useful to disable the more fragile components.

derringers are useful in self defense, close up only situations and I've seen them from .22 shorts which are very quiet, all the way up to over-under .45 longs. Good grief, the recoil on such a small surface area. But the threat is definitely down. At arms length to spitting distance, accuracy wise.
