If you really wish to be taken seriously by majority of americans you should cut out the stereotypical flower child getups displayed by some of the protesters in the photographs. The sixties are over, so sorry you missed the boat.

I'd be curious to know the age of the author who posted the comment "the 60s are so over." People who lived through that time tend to resonate with the idealism over the fashion statements. The 60s are gone, but I hope the idealism and persistence of peace activists are not.

These protests are useless now because the powers that we are protesting against are now using them to their benefit. These little rallies now just serve to allow us to let out our child-like frustrations enough to keep putting up with this shit once the work week starts again. We have proven our solidarity by coming out and rallying together, but let's turn our attention away from the ANTI-war movement and look towards PRO-love, order, and awakening. You would realize the dream if you realized how much power you have, the energy that you could summon if you understood the laws of the Universe. It is time to build a new reality for yourself altogether. Not for your enemy, not for your neighbor, not for anyone else but yourself, and once you begin to see others as yourself, then there will be no more room for anything less than grace. That is the only way, not by subscribing to some obscure political affiliation or "committing class suicide" (which is completely ignorant, that goes out to S.B. here at CSULB).
