"Though Iraq is the number one issue in America, and though the vast majority of Americans want our troops home as expeditiously as possible, the Senate has decided not to even debate the occupation of Iraq," said Sam Feldman of Miami Veterans for Peace. "Therefore, we must broadcast the message over the rooftops of America until members of the Senate show some of the same courage that our young men and women, who are fighting in Iraq, show every day."
Outside the Academy Awards, Military Families Speak Out is hosting an "Oscar for Peace" anti-war vigil and awards ceremony beginning at 12 noon at the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood, California. They are presenting "Oscars" to members of the PEACE community who have shown continued support in ending the war in Iraq and bringing our troops home NOW!

Here is some fun stuff for peace:
The Where's Waldo of BushCo.
I can see the 2008 Oscar ceremony now - Helen Mirren wins her second Best Actress award in a row for portraying Laura Bush. At the emotinal climax, Laura admits to her psychiatrist that she married a moron like W only because he was a ticket away from life as a librarian in West Texas, which has only eight books anyway, none of which have been read by W. Bush has a heart attack when he sees Laura join Cincy Sheehan in a peace march. Walter Reed Army doctors remove his heart and transplant it to Dick Cheney, who proclaims himself King.
