Why is this not on the front page of LA Indymedia? It needs to be there immediately. There is video of an Iranian student being brutalized by the police in the UCLA library. Counter measures for Taser attacks


1. Short circuit the wires. Anything metal thrown across the wires between the gun to the darts will short circuit the electrical current.

2. Throw water on the gun. The person firing the taser will get a shock and drop the gun.

Aren't the wires from a tazer gun insulated? Can they be shorted? I don't think so. Heavy padding will work to prevent the prongs contacting you.

Try an insulated breast shield from a cut open plastic milk jug. use a few layers glued w/ silicone. Be creative, and create your own set of goloboial armor.... Avoid punctures and metal in construction.
Then padding to provide stand off for the prongs.

Everyone who opposes fascism should picket the administration building demanding that all charges be dropped against the student and that taser guns be banned everywhere, not just at UCLA. Everyone at UCLA who has been tasered by their fascist police should sue UCLA immediately. This is proof that the United States is simply Nazi USA, and as anyone who knows the history, always has been. You will note that the student was not a European descendant white student. He apparently is Iranian descent. He was able to survive and get up and speak out because he is young. The fascist weapons are used in the community on older people, and the threat with such deadly weapons is death as older people could easily get a heart attack. Everyone at UCLA got a good lesson in the horrors of fascism. Now is the time to fight back. Picket the administration and sue the bastards now!

I understand why you write "christofacists," but I wish you wouldn't. Jesus (according the historical record we have) was a nonviolent person who also taught people to speak freely and use direct action. His title and image have been co-opted by the Facsists in order to soften their image and give credibility to their campaign of hate. (Something that I completely separate myself from and fight against.) So please stop letting them use the name(s) Jesus and/or Christ to pass off their oppression of the poor, immigrants, workers, animals and our earth.

The best defense is to spin while working in toward the individual shooting the darts. If you can get inside of the offender, you can reach his throat.

One of the things that some "officers" are being taught is that if their victim starts spinning, it's considered a defensive tactic designed to remove the barbs or, if they've not been placed yet, designed to keep one or both barbs from being planted successfully.

Because of it Christofascists are being taught to go to their more deadly weapons if their intended victims show any knowledge of how to defend themselves against tazers.

Any Christofascist that is shooting at innocent people -- with tazers or firearms -- deserves to be stopped up to and including the use of enough force required BUT NO FURTHER.

We need a serious uprising. Problem is we're a nation of cowards.

Hey, the Cops have other ways of getting to you without the Taser. For instance, they also carry pepperspray, which they use if their Tasers fail to work, or on crowds. Also, they have batons.

Also, if you defeat a taser, many cops will use lethal force.

Since the start of their use by police in the US in 1999, the police have killed 148 people with tasers. Tasers endanger everyone. Tasers should be banned.

Does anyone know if it is possibe for the prongs to break off and enter the body? My 15 y/o son was tazed for being out after curfew. They knew who he was and where he lived but he was scared and went to run home and they tazed him. He has had back pain every since. Took him to the doctor and exrays revealed what looks to be like a prong, now possibly lodged in his intestines. He has to go to a surgeon. Has anyone heard of any similar events?
