LOS ANGELES, October 30, 2006 – Oaxacans living in Los Angeles with friends and family under siege in their hometown staged a protest today outside the Mexican Consulate.

Spokespersons from the local Oaxacan community say they will hold vigils at the consulate throughout the week and are organizing for a large demonstration at the consulate this Thursday Nov 2nd. They are demanding that the state violence against the people of Oaxaca stop immediately and that both sides work toward a peaceful solution to the current crisis in Oaxaca.

Que ironico que a pesar de que estas fotos sean del 2006 la situacion no cambie para nada. Los sindicatos deberian unirse, pero todos, no solamente los gremios poderosos...siempre con respeto y sin estragos. Carlos. Venice B&B
