Depleted Uranium is made from uranium that has been processed for

making nuclear weapons and fueling nuclear power plants.

DU is highly radioactive and toxic -- and as it burns it releases uranium

oxide in a fine mist -- and is carried around the world on wind currents.

When human beings, birds, animals inhale the DU mist, it destroys the

organs -- creating conditions such as birth defects, cancers, headaches,

etc. DU mist also lands on water on causes severe problems for marine

life.

The colonial troops in Afghanistan and Iraq are using DU ammo indiscrimately

against people, mostly in residential areas. Israel, via the U.S., used DU

during its illegal invasion of Lebanon.
