AJLPP Condemns Arroyo's Puppetry and anti-DPRK Attacks

by AJLPP-USA Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at 9:30 PM
fwcsf@aol.com 415-309-5835 P.O. Box 7091, Fremont, CA 94537

Pundits and blind defenders of imperial America have it all wrong: the DPRK is simply trying to defend itself from the bellicose saber-rattling that the US imperialists have directed at them and other countries and nations asserting their national sovereignty and refusing to submit to US dictates. We should not be afraid of anti-imperialist countries like the DPRK. Rather, we should link arms with all peoples, nations and countries opposed to the world’s common enemy – US imperialism.

AJLPP-USA Condemns Arroyo’s Brazen Puppetry to US Imperialism and Attacks against People’s Korea (DPRK)

The running dog always follows the master. But the dog’s bark is more ferocious than its nervous bite.

In a knee-jerk reaction, the shameless US puppet and Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo condemned the successful nuclear test by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) as “dangerous” and a threat to world peace and pointed out that it is danger to the country “because the Philippines is in the range of the nuclear attack” from the DPRK.

Before Arroyo throws tantrums and barks at the wrong tree, she should uphold the sovereignty of our nation. She has reason to be nervous since more than 5,000 US troops will be conducting “war exercises” in the Philippines starting October 11 in Luzon and Mindanao.

Arroyo should rightly be wary when she has opened the Philippines as a big war games area for US troops and the entire US naval fleet which carries nuclear weapons pointed directly at potential US enemies like the DPRK, China and Russia and other “terrorist groups.”

Arroyo should remember that neither the DPRK nor the People’s Republic of China has posed any threat to the Philippines. On the other hand, it was the puppet government of the Philippines sheepishly following the lead of the US which sent its mercenary troops composed of several combat teams to Korea, the Philippine Expeditionary Forces to Korea (PEFTOK), to aid United States aggression in the name of the United Nations (UN). The Philippines was one of the nations that intervened in the Korean peninsula on the side of the US during the 1950-53 war. That war, however, eventually saw the defeat of US armed forces and it ended with a truce in 1953 along the 38th parallel.

More than that, Arroyo wants to change the present Philippine constitution to open up the Philippines to even greater US military intervention and economic plunder. By scrapping the anti-nuclear and anti-bases provisions as well as the provision disallowing foreign troops from being stationed in the country, she wants to discard any remaining vestige of sovereignty of the people and the nation. Worst of all, Arroyo wants to open up the country’s natural resources to unimpeded and unfathomable plunder by US and other foreign corporations in exchange for millions in bribes and kickbacks.

Why must we be fear a hypothetical nuclear attack when Arroyo and her regime have already devastated the country more than any nuclear attack from DPRK can achieve? The plunderous and rapacious looting of her regime, not to mention the unbridled war of terror against all dissenters, have already caused untold misery and suffering for the masses. The recent natural calamity typhoon Milenyo has shown us just how inept and useless the graft-ridden and corrupt US-Arroyo regime is in responding to our people’s miseries.

Our people will never find peace and security beneath the jackboot of US imperialism and its trusted puppets like Arroyo. For the AJLPP, Filipinos can never rely on anybody but themselves to throw off foreign domination, feudal bondage and the corrupt, graft-ridden government – the real obstacles that stand in the way of achieving peace and prosperity for our people.

The AJLPP will always support the Filipino people’s just struggle towards a just and lasting peace in the country and all over the world. #

I'm thrilled too...

by Progressive Contrarian Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at 7:46 AM

Thrilled that yet another country has got nukes. Thrilled that a fascist dictator who watches his people starve has access to weapons that could destroy thousands in one strike. Thrilled that one of the most oppressive regimes in the world can square off against Bush and the other trigger-happy neo-cons.

Aren't we all so thrilled at this glorious news?

Anyone been to a funeral lately or have something else we can celebrate?
