The Saturday evening's NELAart Night at Carlotta's Passion Fine Art features works by artists engaged in social justice

For this Saturday evening's NELAart Night, Carlotta's Passion Fine Art is featuring works on paper by leading contemporary artists in its front gallery. The vast majority of these artists engage in acts of social justice. Some, such as Claudia Bernardi, have been more deeply involved than 99.9% of the people we know from local activist organizations. For example, until she was forced to flee her country, Bernardi worked in forensic anthropology in Argentina, seeking to identify and reunite the cadavers of "the disappeared" with their loved ones. She did similar work in El Salvador.

The artists include:

- Luis Cruz Azaceta

- Claudia Bernardi

- Enrique Chagoya

- Sue Coe

- James G. Davis

- Roy DeForest

- Carmen Lomas Garza

- Luis Jimenez

- Beverly McIver

- Vik Muniz

- Luis Gonzalez Palma

- Faith Ringgold
