How Serious is the U.S. Government about Online-Gambling?
Recently the federal government arrested the CEO of BetOnSports, a UK based
online betting corporation. Most Americans are unaware that online betting
software is developed within the United States of America. Miami is the
home of IGW Services
(formally IGW Software), a publicly traded company recently acquired by Leisure
and Gaming, owner of several online gambling operations, including VIP
Sports. Since its purchase, the company has been downsizing and is scheduled
to be run by local Miami contracting firm International
Data Consultants. In addition to running this online betting software
operation, IDC lists Miami-Dade
County Department of Health as a client.
IGW is owned and operated by Daniel Deblois, husband of Jenny Deblois of Miami-Dade County Enterprise Technology Services Department.
Jenny Deblois is also a member of the Intergovernmental Advisory Board,
a board with members from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
