That is irrefutably police brutality. Thank you for the cross-post.

When you resist arrest, or try to interfere with an arrest in progress and on and on, you will find yourself taking baton blow, and wasting your own and everyone elses time in court trying to pursue a police brutality charge.
Learn how the law works, and quit whining if you get beat for practicing civil disobedience.
Or, is it not true that this is being done just to get the cops to do these things so you can make martyrs of yourselves and try to pursue court actions ?

I saw a 60ish year old woman take a "baton blow", get jabbed with batons and get thrown back 10 feet by to cops on Saturday. Did you see that "El Che"? Were you there? What exactly justifies that? The color of her skin?
The cops initiated the violence. If they didn't start beating and throwing people to the ground there would have been no arrests to resist or interfere with. If you weren't there, you don't know what happened. The videos don't tell the whole story.

I was there and they were causing civil disobedience. The cops told them not to cross the line and they did. They didnt listen to the police and came up behind them during an arrest, so the police did what they had to do. What kind of fool would even do that and not expect to get arrested or hit? Learn the laws of the land.

Did you not see how your pig-blue asshole FAKE hero buddies were taking vicious unnecessary shots at the woman AND the guy trying to protect her after they were both already on the ground? Oh I'm sure you're right that a brutality complaint would lead to nothing. This doesn't make you or these other assholes right, it just shows how we have to stop merely wearing Ché's image and start following his example. The only way we'll ever see real justice is obviously by laying you scum out in lavender. There's days of glory a-coming and I personally can't wait. I got my ghilli suit all satcheled up and my .50-caliber pig-stick loaded and waiting. That kevlar shit means nothing to me. Be afraid, pig.

I know the laws of the land. You should learn the meaning of "civil disobedience" before you start spouting off. Look it up. What you saw on Saturday was a cop riot.
The cops initiated the violence. The cops were uncivil. Innocent bystanders were beaten. The cops acted like animals with guns, clubs and badges.
And you all cheered because unlike the real Minutemen you claim to emulate, you're actually reactionary and authoritarian. In 1775, the real Minutemen were on same end of the brutality as the counter-protestors were. But you love authority and you love it when the state comes down hard on dissent. You forget that the real Minutemen were into overthrowing the goverment. Just like Che. Fakers.
You're not real Minutemen. Your fucking opportunist racists.
By the way, the National Lawyers Guild will win the lawsuit. Even LAPD brass has already admitted it was excessive.

There was no realistic reason for the cops to hit the two people when they were on the ground. If that is procedure, they should reform the entire procedure of dealing with protest situations with common sense. A guy laying over a woman to protect her posed no physical threat to the officers. When the officers still struck them with batons, it was assault.

Yes, I was there.
Like I was saying...
The above statement from CC says it all. You really do not know how these things work, do you ? You really have not been to a protest that has turned into a riot because of purposeful CD, have you CC ? No, you have not, or you would never say such a thing.
When someone is resisting, especially if they are with someone else, it does not matter if they are on the ground. Sufficient force is the protocol that is used. That will be the cops arguement if it comes down to it.
I am telling you these things based on real life instances. If you have been to many of the anti-war protests in NY, DC, and the bay area, you KNOW what I am talking about. LA has experieced VERY little by comparison in the way of police violence towards protestrs.
It is really lame to say that the ANSWER LA protestrs were just standing there drinking a cup of coffee, and then the cops decided to beat them down. To say that they did nothing is to lie beyond belief. But then agian, that seems to be the order of the day when it comes to how socialist/comm protestrs deal with these situations. You provoke the police, throw things, give cause for an arrest then resist the arrest. Then, when they try to subdue you, you cry Police brutality. This is a common practice and tactic used all over the world of protesting.
Go for it. But, it will not work. There were just to many cameras and officers that will testify otherwise.

"LA has experieced VERY little by comparison in the way of police violence towards protestrs." Gee, there must not be many protests then, cuz god knows the LA cops are some of the biggest assholes on the planet. You oughtta know, cop Here's a nice vid of your pals in Inglewood beating the holy fuck out of a small hand-cuffed 16-year-old kid, as shown on national television http://www.nbc4.tv/video/1547338/index.html Wow, my heroes. For every one incident like this that leaks through the cracks and makes it into American living rooms, there are 10,000 more nobody ever hears about. How many of these you been in on, cop? Oh, and the guy who filmed the video that got these assholes busted? Guess what happened to him. The pigs in blue hunted him down like a bunch of mob goons and BEAT HIM UP TOO, then threw him in the clink for half a year. http://radio.indymedia.org/news/2006/06/10369.php Yeah, gotta set an example so everybody knows not to fuck with the Mob in Blue, yyeeeaaah. Oh, and the cops who actually did the beating? They were back on the job after a few weeks' suspension, of course. They probably got knocked down to parking ticket duty, so they were reduced to, you know, throwing little old ladies through the windshields of their Buicks and shit Personally, I think the government should farm police work out to the Gambino family. Who would know the difference?
