KCSN's Martin Perlich booksigning of his bookTHE WILD TIMES at Duttons (Belair), Borders (Northridge) and Skylight books ( E Hollywood)

With a poet’s sensibility and a musician’s ear, KCSN Program Director, Martin Perlich has written a novel about another time, but relevant to the times we are living today. He has created a character who navigates the past while he previews the future. A non-glamorous, coming of age, Easy Rider meets The Electric Cool Aid Acid Test, THE WILD TIMES, the first of a quartet of novels is not nostalgia but a look back to see who we are now.

We hope to see you at one of the following Los Angeles area signings:

Dutton's Bookstore, Brentwood
11975 San Vicente Blvd., 90049
*refreshments will be served

Monday, June 12th, 7:30pm
Borders Books & Music, Northridge
9301 Tampa Ave., 91324

Saturday, June 17th, 5:00pm
Skylight Books
1818 N. Vermont Ave., 90027

“A story with real pathos. Martin Perlich is a true original.” --Sandra Tsing Loh

“For anyone who survived the 70s, or is curious about them, THE WILD TIMES is the perfect guide book. Writing in the jingle-jangle urgency of the decade, Martin Perlich has unerringly captured the birds-in-a-storm whimsy of a journey navigated on too many drugs and too little sense of direction but precisely the ideal combination of curiosity and lust, abandon and longing. What a ride the ‘70s were and what a funny, sad and compelling chronicle this novel is.” -- Ernest Thompson, author of ON GOLDEN POND and l969
