THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE THE U.S./ZIONIST PROPAGANDA WAR, ITS LEADERS AND ITS VICTIMS

by Nabila Harb Saturday, May. 20, 2006 at 6:01 AM

At the end of the day, the blood of the Iraqi people will demand to be heard and the voice of justice will be louder and reverberate with greater power than any so-called 'weapon of mass destruction' throughout the entire world. The only questions that remain are: Where does each and every one of us stand in this conflict and what do we intend to do about it?

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE
THE U.S./ZIONIST PROPAGANDA WAR, ITS LEADERS AND ITS VICTIMS
by Nabila HarbFAV co-editor

The people of the United States are being insulted and yet, they not only accept the insult, but embrace it with enthusiasm. They are being insulted by their leaders and by the media and yet they would rather focus on Saddam Hussein as an enemy, when the real enemies are in their own country. Yellow ribbons in 'support of the troops' and American flags multiply through the country like a cancer, devouring truth and justice and installing propaganda symbols in their place. What is happening in the United States now? Is the U.S. government and media keeping the people informed of the real progress of the invasion of Iraq? The people of the United States evidently believe that they are being given the information and facts that they deserve to have. After all, the government is acting in THEIR name as it murders the Iraqi people, destroys the Iraqi landscape and further weakens the economic structure of the country. The American government and the media are at great pains to provide constant 'updates' of the situation in Iraq, but does any of it bear even the shadow of a resemblance to the truth? In fact, the intelligence and common sense of the people of the United States are being insulted by the most blatant forms of propaganda and a web of deceit that stretches from the United States across the globe. Its victims are not only the Iraqi people but very fundamental rights of freedom and self-determination for people everywhere, including people within the United States itself.

The mainstream media in the U.S. as well as the government, are at pains to define the U.S. aggression against Iraq not as an invasion but as a 'liberation effort', an almost humanitarian action designed to bring freedom and democracy to the people of Iraq by removing their own leaders and government and introducing the enlightened reign of Imperialist Americans and Zionists in their place. After all, the supporters of the Zionists continually claim that the Zionist entity is the 'only democracy in the Middle East'. Through their power and good graces, the future of Iraq as another true 'democracy' is assured.

One need only look at the example of their Occupation of Palestine to see how the Arab Nation fares under a racist, apartheid regime, and how much the Palestinian people have benefited from Zionist 'democratic' rule. To those who rely upon mainstream mass media and government information in the United States, however, the invasion of Iraq is in the nature of a 'holy war', motivated by the duty to destroy the Iraqi government and its leaders, and replace them with a government that will pursue American and Zionist aims and thereby bring 'peace and security' to the region. In fact, the American government attempted to pass a resolution in Congress to dictate a day of prayer and fasting in order to persuade God to grant victory to the troops of the Coalition of the Morally Bankrupt. This new 'Crusade' against the Arab Nation must be as repugnant to truly religious individuals as the Crusades of the Middle Ages and yet, the government is trying to add God to the propaganda stew it is concocting. It is merely another demonstration of how this government has abandoned the principles upon which the United States was founded, one of which was a clear separation between Church and State, and another of which was freedom of belief and expression. Despite all of this, the people of the United States apparently remain unaware of the threat to their liberties.

To those individuals and nations with even a passing interest in international history and events, the U.S. 'Coalition' motivation for invading Iraq always was quite clear. American and Zionist led multi-national corporations involved in oil and in the arms industry and their needs prompted the invasion, and indeed plans for this invasion preceded the attacks of 11 September that supposedly set the so-called 'war against terror' in motion. The U.S. international 'war against terror' whether in Afghanistan, Iraq or anywhere else is fueled by greed and political designs for control of the map.

A hundred years ago, imperialists declared their interests and aims fairly directly, without being obliged to camouflage them too much with claims of idealistic virtues. Imperialism and Empire had not become dirty words, and the fundamental premise upon which they rested, which was that a superior culture and people had the duty to guide and rule an inferior people, still was acceptable in the West and elsewhere in the world.

Now, however, imperialism and beliefs in cultural or racial superiority must be disguised by other more politically correct motives, although the United States does profess a duty to police the globe, allegedly in the name of 'democracy'. Moreover, nations are discovering that they cannot accept American funds without accepting U.S. overseers and an omnipresent threat of U.S. 'police intervention' if any fundamental threat to American/Zionist interests is found.

Not only have Imperialism and Empire lost their ideological pedestals, but governments no longer can simply order their people to obey without offering some sort of satisfying philosophical reason for obedience. Technological advances provide the masses everywhere with information about events throughout the globe and this makes it necessary for governments to create very powerful and effective propaganda in order to enlist their obedience and support. In the case of the invasion of Iraq, the propaganda blitz on the part of the United States and Britain has been of unprecedented proportions. Saturation propaganda is the rule of this war, and apparently the Coalition of the Morally Bankrupt will stop at nothing in order to keep the lies flowing smoothly and unimpeded.

Some of the most significant early casualties of this war from 'friendly fire' perhaps have been journalists. The 'embedded' reporters for the United States and its criminal coalition must rely only carefully sanitised information to the media, or they will be ejected not only from Iraq but from their jobs. Peter Arnett and Geraldo Riviera are two very different sorts of journalists, but both have been victims of 'friendly fire' from the U.S. and both have been removed from Iraq and their jobs as reporters for the crime of having made statements that were not acceptable for one reason or another to the U.S. government.

More difficult to silence or 'purify' are the members of Coalition armed forces who have experienced combat and live to tell about it. This is where the chink in the Coalition propaganda armour is most apparent. Soldiers, returning wounded from the front, are bewildered, confused and thoroughly convinced of the strength and determination of Iraqi resistance to the Coalition efforts at 'liberation'. If people in the United States are to become aware of the degree of deceit to which they are being subjected, it will be through the stories told by the troops they are so eager to support, as they return wounded and disillusioned from the war.

A story from 27 March declared that: 'For them, the war is over. A few U.S. soldiers were half the way home on Thursday, bearing wounds inflicted by Iraqis they thought they were liberating. They recounted to journalists how they came under fire at the weekend from Iraqi troops dressed as civilians at the city of Nassiriya.

'We were very surprised. We were told when we were going through Nassiriya that we would see little to no resistance,' one soldier told a news conference at the U.S. military's medical facilities at Landstuhl, Germany. 'We were more prepared for what happened in the Gulf War when they turned over and surrendered most of the time...'

Another soldier declared: 'They weren't rolling over like we thought they would.'

Beside him, in hospital robes, other soldiers told of being hurled from their Humvee by an Iraqi missile in a separate attack. 'The amount of resistance, some of it I don't understand. I mean we're there to help them to get them out of the regime.'

U.S. and Coalition propaganda, faced with the embarrassment of being forced to explain overwhelming Iraqi resistance to their invasion, revised itself and began to claim that the Iraqis were being threatened by their leaders and forced to fight. When that fails to convince the public, they fall back upon the argument that one must support the troops as they are individuals who are one's parents, spouses, siblings or friends. One of the U.S. soldiers defeated by Iraqi resistance tried to claim that he was only fighting to protect his friends.

'You may be against the war, but don't be against the soldiers there who are fighting it. I joined to serve my country but when I was there I was fighting to protect my friends,' he said.

This spurious and quite absurd argument evidently DOES carry weight with the public, despite the fact that the very raison d'etre for armed Coalition troops in Iraq is to kill Iraqis. They are not sent there to protect their friends, but to wage an illegal war of aggression against the Iraqi people. If they really wished to protect themselves and their friends, they would refuse to serve in the war. Those troops now in Iraq would receive the warm reception U.S. government propaganda led them to expect from the Iraqi people if they surrendered to the people of Iraq, rendering the Coalition invasion impotent.

The bogus argument that the U.S. troops are dealing death to the Iraqis simply to 'protect their friends' is similar to the Zionist argument with respect to Zionist presence in Palestine. Every Zionist in Palestine is an illegal Occupier, and yet they attempt to claim that they are acting in 'self-defence' when they slaughter Palestinians and destroy their homes. The most outrageous claim perhaps is the one of 'pre-emptive self-defence' whereby the Zionists assassinate Palestinians and attempt to justify the murders by claiming that they are acting to 'prevent future acts of terrorism'.

Both Bush and Blair have taken lessons from the Zionists in formulating their propaganda with respect to the invasion of Iraq. Apart from the fact that this invasion is being undertaken in order to further Zionist aims with respect to the Arab Nation, mainstream media actually supports these aims and therefore is willing to exert itself in creating effective propaganda to obscure the realities of the invasion.

In the States, as well as elsewhere in the West, the Zionist influence over the media must not be underestimated. When the attacks of 11 September took place, the situation with respect to the major networks and newspapers was as follows:

Probably the largest media conglomerate is AOL-Time Warner, controlled by Zionists. Not only does this conglomerate own AOL and Time-Warner, but Turner Broadcasting Systems, CNN, CBS, HBO and other television stations as well as Warner Brothers Studio, Castle Rock Entertainment and New Line Cinema. Time Warner is the largest periodical publisher in the U.S., and publishes Time, People and Fortune, among others.

Zionist Micheal Eisner, CEO of Walt Disney Company, owns Capital Cities/ABC, which owns the ABC Television Network. ABC owns ten stations outright in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston as well as 225 affiliated stations in the U.S. ABC is part owner of several European television companies. Its subsidiary, ESPN is run by another Zionist, Steven Bornstein, and the ABC network not only controls A & E and Lifetime Television but as ABC Radio Network owns 26 major radio stations in major cities of the U.S.

Viacom, which produces and distributes television progerammes for the three largest networks in the U.S. owns 13 television stations and 12 radio stations and produces feature films through Paramount Pictures, run by Zionist Sherry Langing. The Zionist head of Viacom , Murray Rothstein, acquired CBS, in turn run by Zionist Melvin Karmazin. CBS owns 14 major market television stations and 160 radio stations. Its publishing division includes Simon & Schuster, Scribner, The Free Press and Pocket Books. It is involved in satellite broadcasting and is the world's largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon and other networks.

The other major network, NBC, founded by Zionist David Sarnoff, is still run by Zionists.

The Associated Press is controlled by Zionist managing editor, Michael Silverman, who directs daily reporting and supervises the editorial departments. Executive editor, Jonathan Wolman, is a Zionist as well. The Newhouse media empire, owned by the Zionist Newhouse brothers, publishes 30 daily newspapers, 12 television broadcasting stations and 87 cable television systems, and publishes periodicals through Conde Nast, owned by them.

The Zionist Sulzberger family owns the New york Times and through the company, 33 other newspapers, including the Boston Globe, The New York Times News Service transmits news stories, features and photographs from the NYT by wire to 506 other newspapers, news agencies and magazines.

The Washington Post is owned by the descendant of Zionist financier Eugene Meyer, partner of the infamous Barnard Baruch. The Washington Post has a number of other media holdings in newspapers, in television and in periodicals, including Newsweek. In a joint venture with the New York Times, the Washington Post publishes the International Herald Tribune, the most widely distributed English language daily newspaper in the world.

Time magazine is published by a subsidiary of Time-Warner. U.S. News & World Report is owned and published by Mortimer B. Zuckerman, who owns the Atlantic Monthly and the infamous New York rag, the Daily News.

It should come as no surprise, therefore, to find the media diligently supporting U.S./Zionist aims in Iraq and elsewhere throughout the world. When a reporter dares to make an unsanitised statement, he/she is removed summarily from their positions.

Neither Peter Arnett nor Geraldo Riviera have anything approaching objective attitudes towards Iraq. Their removal therefore will act as a strong threat to any one who allegedly reports 'news' from the front, no doubt silencing any but the most intrepid of independent reporters.

The Zionist link to U.S. political and business interests in the oil, energy and arms businesses are well-documented, but if there were any doubt whatsoever about the Bush administration's plan to give control of Iraq to the Zionists, it would be dispelled by his choice of an administrator to direct the Pentagon's Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance in 'post-war' Iraq. Bush has chosen retired Lt. Gen. Jay Garner, former assistant chief of staff in the Army, who travelled with the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs to the Zionist entity in 1998. In 2000, he signed a letter that praised the Zionist entity's 'restraint in the face of Palestinian violence' and urged the U.S. government not to allow its supposed role as a 'peace facilitator' to fetter its role as a 'friend to Israel'. His precise words were: 'Friends don't leave friends on the battlefield', referring to the Zionist entity's campaign of genocide and terror towards the Palestinian people and the role of the U.S. in sending generous aid to the Zionists.

Garner, moreover, is president of an arms company that provides crucial technical support to missile systems vital to the US invasion of Iraq.

It is this Zionist and arms dealer that the U.S. has chosen to coordinate the civil administration of Iraq if the U.S. and its Coalition of the Morally Bankrupt manage to defeat the Iraqi people.

Apart from Jay Garner, there are other Zionists and enemies of civil rights who have been appointed very prematurely to serve in what is being conceived as the 'post-Saddam Hussain government' of Iraq.

Michael Mobbs is an influential legal advisor for the Pentagon who will be given charge of civil administration in Iraq if the U.S. invasion is successful. Mobbs is the author of what has become known as the 'Mobbs declaration', an outrageously unconstitutional document presented to the U.S. courts on behalf of the Pentagon claiming that the President has wide powers to detain American citizens indefinitely if they simply are alleged to be enemy combatants. As part of the spurious 'war on terrorism', he is one of those who determines the legal fate of so-called 'terror suspects' and other detainees held by the U.S. military in Cuba and Afghanistan. In the Bush administration's fantasy vision of 'post-Saddam Hussain' Iraq, he will take charge of 11 of the 23 Iraqi ministries.

Another Zionist appointed to the Pentagon-controlled Iraqi 'government-in-waiting' being assembled in a cluster of seaside villas in Kuwait is James Woolsey, a former director of the CIA with connections to the Zionist entity. Woolsey continues to insist, without any foundation whatsoever in fact, that Saddam Hussein was the mastermind who planned the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Centre in New York, a clear indication of his Zionist-driven obsession with the President of Iraq. The fact that Woolsey sits on the advisory board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs is irrefutable evidence of his Zionist affiliations. James Woolsey is to be given a senior role in the U.S./Zionist puppet government of 'post-Saddam Hussain' Iraq.

This is the true nature of the U.S. and its Coalition's 'liberation' of Iraq. If successful, the country of Iraq and its natural resources will be liberated from the control of its own people, and placed in the hands of U.S. agents of multi-national corporations and Zionists. The heartsblood of the Iraqi people is being spilt for the worst sort of corporate and imperialist greed. Any soldier who fights for the 'Coalition' of the Morally Bankrupt must not be allowed to hide behind media or government propaganda but must accept responsibility for the crimes he or she commits in the name of the United States and its Coalition. The heartsblood of the Iraqi people who are defending their homeland, their honour and their dignity is on the hands not only of the U.S. and Coalition governments and their agents, but every one who does not oppose this invasion in every way possible. Rely upon government and media propaganda at your peril. There is no excuse for ignorance and no excuse for supporting this war against Iraq, which is a crime against humanity and justice. When members of this shameful 'Coalition' die, they are criminals executed in the course of commission of a crime.

The cold-blooded murder of women and children who were killed simply because they refused to halt at the command of a foreign agent is neither an accident, nor is it 'collateral damage'. It is the true face of this war, as much as the systematic genocide of the Palestinian people by the Zionist entity. That is the simple truth, and no amount of propaganda can provide a defence for the Coalition or its agents. They must be held fully accountable for the crimes they commit, and any one who fails to oppose this war must be held accountable as well. In particular, it is the American soldiers who have experienced the reality of the war in Iraq who must repudiate the propaganda and make the truth known, both in the States and abroad. When American troops who fought in Vietnam began to protest against the war, they were able to create effective opposition to the government and its nefarious aims. As more troops return from Iraq wounded and disillusioned, the propaganda machine may find itself unable to control the flow of information and change in public climate.

Yosef Weitz-Arch Zionist bigot

by JD Saturday, May. 20, 2006 at 8:42 PM

Yosef Weitz-Arch Zionist bigot

1890-1970

Yosef Weitz was a Polish Jew who settled in Palestine in 1908. Weitz was the prime mover behind the first and second Transfer Committees (1937-48), and between 1932 and 1948 he was the powerful director of the Jewish National Fund's Land Settlement Department. The UN GA proposed partition plan, and the coming hostilities, provided Weitz the opportunity to set in motion long-nurtured plans of "transferring" (Ethnic Cleaning) the Palestinian people out of their homes, farms, and businesses. His diary (contained in five volumes located in the Zionist Archives in Jerusalem was started from 1932 and continued until his death in 1970) is replete with injunctions not to "miss the opportunities" offered by the 1948 war. The diary documents a great deal of incriminating confessions and evidence of many WAR CRIMES, looting, and atrocities perpetrated by "Jewish state's" army.

According to Benny Morris, Yosef Weitz was described as the following:

"Through 1948 he had ready access to cabinet ministers .... and often, he [referring to Weitz] he met with Ben-Gurion ... Weitz's connections also encompassed the Yishuv's military brass, especially on the level of district, area and battalion commanders, [in short] Weitz was well-placed to shape and influence decision-making regarding the Arab population on the national level and to oversee the implementation of policy on the local level." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 182)

Famous Quotes

Yosef Weitz did not only advocate "transferring" the Palestinian people so the "Jewish state" would become a "Jewish majority", he also envisioned the "transfer" as a useful tool that could dispossess them from their lands. He stated in a meeting with the Transfer Committee on November 15, 1937:

"...the transfer of [Palestinian] Arab population from the area of the Jewish state does not serve only one aim--to diminish the Arab population. It also serves a second, no less important, aim which is to advocate land presently held and cultivated by the [Palestinian] Arabs and thus to release it for Jewish inhabitants." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 94-95)

Weitz was obsessed with "transferring" the Palestinian people to neighboring Arab countries in a way that consumed all his thoughts. He wrote in his diary on December 20, 1940:

"it must be clear that there is no room in the country for both [Arab and Jewish] peoples . . . If the [Palestinian] Arabs leave it, the country will become wide and spacious for us . . . The only solution [after the end of WW II] is a Land of Israel, at least a western land of Israel [i.e. Palestine since Transjordan is the eastern portion], without [Palestinian] Arabs. There is no room here for compromises . . . There is no way but to transfer the [Palestinian] Arabs from here to the neighboring countries, to transfer all of them, save perhaps for [the Palestinian Arabs of] Bethlehem, Nazareth, and the old Jerusalem. Not one village must be left, not one [Bedouin] tribe. The transfer must be directed at Iraq, Syria, and even Transjordan [eastern portion of Eretz Yisrael]. For this goal funds will be found . . . An only after this transfer will the country be able to absorb millions of our brothers and the Jewish problem will cease to exist. There is no other solution." (Benny Morris, p. 27 & Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 131-132)

Wetz' obsession continues, "transfer" was on his tongue day and night. Note how he had articulated the importance of "transferring" the Palestinian people out of their homes, and how he had justified it. On March 18, 1941 Yosef Weitz recorded in his diary while visiting Jewish colonies in the Jordan Valley:

"Once again I come face to face with the land settlement difficulties that emanate from the existence of two people in close proximity . . . . We have clashing interests with the [Palestinian] Arabs everywhere, and these interests will go and clash increasingly. . . . and once again the answer from inside me is heard: only [Palestinian Arab] population transfer and evacuating this country so it would become exclusively for us [Jews] is the solution. This idea does not leave me in these days and I find comfort in it in the face of enormous difficulties in the way of land-buying and settlement." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 132)

Weitz articulated the most important Zionist pillar, which is a "Jewish majority" in Palestine. On a similar visit nearby Mishmar Ha'emek (15 miles south of Haifa) a few day later, Weitz recorded:

"I am increasingly consumed by despair. The Zionist idea is the answer to the Jewish question in the Land of Israel; only in the land of Israel, but not that the [Palestinian] Arabs should remain a majority. The complete evacuation of the country from its other inhabitants and handing it over to the Jewish people is the answer." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 132)

When a "Jewish majority" in Palestine was not attainable based on Jewish immigration and natural population growth, Zionists advocated the use of force to ethnically cleanse and to dispossess the Palestinian people. Click here if you wish to learn more about this subject.

Because of his obsession in "transferring" (Ethnic Cleansing) the Palestinian people out of their homes, he was also aware of all the difficulties that may arise. On the other hand, that did not stop him, which he used as an excuse to work even harder. On Jun 26, 1941, Yosef Weitz was on a journey nearby al-Qubab in central Palestine, and he wrote in his diary:

"Through out the journey my reflections were focused on that plan, about which I have been thinking for year; the plan . . . . of evacuating the country for us [Jews]. I know that difficulties . . . but only through population transfer will redemption come. . . . There is no room for us with our neighbours. . . . development is a very slow process . . . . They [the Palestinian Arabs] are too many and too much rooted [in the country] . . . . the only way is to cut and eradicate them from the roots. I feel that this is the truth. . . . I am beginning to understand the essence of the MIRACLE which should happen with the arrival of the Messiah; MIRACLE does not happen in evolution, but all of a sudden, in one moment. . . . I can see the enormous difficulties but this should not deflect us from our aim; on the contrary, we must double our efforts to overcome the difficulties and find a listening ear, first in America, then in Britain and then in the neighboring countries. There the money will make it. People and money will be transferred there. We will set up an apparatus from the Yishuv manned by distinguished experts and these will supervise the [Palestinian] Arab transfer and resettlement and a second apparatus will receive the [Jewish] redeemers and plant them in the land. . . . I pondered these measures all the way from Tel Aviv and also while visiting near Ramat Hasharon and K'afr Azar. This is the aim, the redemption, and the dream." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 134)

In similar passion, he also spoke about expanding the "Jewish state's" borders to include areas in Lebanon and Syria. While meeting Menachem Ussishkin on June 22, 1941, Yosef Weitz wrote:

"The land of Israel is not small at all, if only the Arabs will be removed, and if its frontiers would be enlarged a little; to the north all the way to Litani [River in Lebanon], and to the east including the Golan Heights . . . . while the [Palestinian] Arabs be transferred to northern Syria and Iraq. . . . From now on we must work out a secret plan based on the removal of the [Palestinian] Arabs from here . . . [and] . . . to include it into American political circles. . . . today we have no other alternative. . . . We will not live here with Arabs." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 134-135)

In the summer of 1941, Yosef Weitz toured the country side in central Palestine, and in his diary he recorded seeing:

"LARGE [Palestinian Arab] villages crowded in population and surrounded by cultivated land growing olives, grapes, figs, sesame, and maize fields . . . . Would we be able to maintain scattered settlements among these existing [Palestinian Arab] villages that will always be larger than ours? And is there any possibility of buying their [land]?. . . . . and once again I hear that voice inside me called: evacuate this country." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 133)

As the majority of Zionists, Yosef Weitz envisioned a "Jewish state" on parts of "Eretz Yisrael" as a jumping ground for a "complete redemption." He wrote in his diary one day after the vote on the UN GA partition plan resolution in November 1947:

"The creation of the Hebrew State in part of the country [Eretz Yisrael] is the beginning of complete redemption. ....How should we solve the question of the [Palestinian] Arabs who constitute half of the state population? ..... I have been working day and night in these days on the calculation of the land in the Hebrew state ..... Indeed we still need to redeem much until most of the cultivated land will be our property." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 182)

As late as 1947, after almost half a century of tireless and relentless effort, the collective ownership of the Jewish National Fund (which constituted one-half of all Zionists and Jewish land ownership) amounted to a mere 3.5% of Palestine. Yosef Weitz was in a good position to know that:

"without taking action to TRANSFER [the Palestinian Arab] population, we will not be able to solve our question by [land] buying." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, 133)

Yosef Weitz also noted on the same date that the BULK of the cultivable land in the "Jewish state", allotted by UN GA proposed Partition in December 1947, was owned by the Palestinian people. He wrote:

"[most of the land is] not Jewish-owned or even in the category of the state domain whose ownership could be automatically assumed by a successor government. Thus, of 13,500,000 dunums (6,000,000 of which were desert and 7,500,000 dunums of cultivable land) in the Jewish state according to the Partition plan, ONLY 1,500,000 dunums were Jewish owned." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 183)

On January 13, 1948 Weitz talked to his Haifa Jewish National Fund colleagues on taking measures to evacuate the lands of Wadi Qabbani, he stated:

"I gave instructions not to miss the opportunities in the turbulent hour." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 184)

Yosef Weitz wrote in his diary in January 1948 about the inhabitants of Daliyat al-Rawha' south of Haifa

"Isn't now the time to be rid of them? Why continue to keep in our midst these thorn at a time when they pose a danger to us? Our people are weighing up a solution." (Benny Morris, p. 55)

Yosef Weitz wrote in his diary on the 20th of February 1948 about the bedouins crossing Baysan valley to Transjordan

"It is possible that now is the time to implement our original plan: transfer them there." (Benny Morris)

Yosef Weitz wrote in his diary about the inhabitants of Qumya and al-Tira in the Baysan valley:

"Not taking upon themselves the responsibility of preventing the infiltration of irregulars .... They must be forced to leave their villages until peace comes." (Benny Morris, p. 56)

In April, Weitz started to lobby the Israeli Cabinet in favor of his obsession ("transfer"). He met Ben-Gurion in Tel Aviv on April 4 1948, and asked for audience to discuss the :

"question of evacuating/clearing out the [Palestinian] Arabs. ...[ten days later] [we] must direct our war towards the removal of as many Arabs as possible from boundaries of out state. The guarding of their property after their removal is a secondary question, [Weitz recorded] Finally it was agreed that I would submit a proposal for [Palestinian Arab] removal from localities based on my considerations." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 186)

And on April 18, 1948 he started to build a list of which villages should be ethnically cleanse first. He wrote:

"I made a summery of a list of the [Palestinian] Arab villages which in my opinion must be cleared out in order to complete Jewish regions. I also made a summery of the places that have land disputes and must be settled by military means." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 186)

Weitz explained why Palestinians were fleeing. According to him all what that it took was "several shells ... whistle over them", and that was enough. On April 21, 1948 Weitz wrote in his diary:

"Our army is steadily conquering [Palestinian] Arab villages and their inhabitants afraid and fleeing like mice. You have no idea what happened in the [Palestinian] Arab villages. It is enough that during the night several shells will whistle over them and they flee for their lives. Villages are steadily emptying, and if we continue on this course --and we shall certainly do so as our strength increases-- then villages will empty of their inhabitants." (Israel: A History, p. 174)

Weitz also described how fear was used by Haganah commanders to "encourage" Palestinians into flight. On April 24, 1948 Weitz wrote in his diary regarding the ethnic cleansing of a couple of Palestinian villages in the Haifa area:

"I was happy to hear from him [a Haganah officer] that this line was being adopted by the commander . . . to frighten the [Palestinian] Arabs so long as flight-induced fear was upon them." (Israel: A History, p. 173)

Ironically, may Israelis, Zionists, and Jews still believe (or maybe they want to believe) that the Palestinian people willfully abandoned their homes, farms, and business. For your information, the author of "Israel : A History", Martin Gilbert, is an ardent Zionist, so do not jump to conclusion by calling him an anti-Zionist. Click here if you read our response to this argument.

On April 28, 1948 he also wrote:

"Khayriyah and Saqiyah [two Palestinian Arab villages in the coastal plain] have also been cleared out. My plan is getting implemented." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 186)

In the following quote note how Weitz was pressuring local leaders to encourage Palestinian flight. On May 4, 1948 he wrote in his diary regarding Beisan valley:

"The Beit Shean [Beisan] Valley is the gate for out state in the Galilee .... I told them [referring Beisan Valley Jewish representatives] that its clearing [of the Palestinian Arabs] is the need of the hour." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 187)

In August 1948, Yosef Weitz stated his opposition to any future Palestinian return to their home, farms, and business, he wrote:

"If the policy want is that they should not be allowed to return, [then] there is no need to cultivate land beyond what is needed for our existence. It is possible that Jews would be settled in some abandoned] villages and that there are [Palestinian] villages that should be destroyed so that they do not attract their [Palestinian] refugees to return. What can be bought [from Palestinians] should be bought . . . [But] first we must set policy: [Palestinian] Arabs who abandoned [their homes, farms, and business] should not [be allowed to] return." (Benny Morris, p. 148-9)

In late November 1948, Weitz recorded that two of his officials at the Jewish National Fund complained that "the army continues to destroy villages in the Galilee, which we are interested in [settling Jewish immigrants]." In that regards, Weitz was wondering if it's not a "greater revenge" if the "abandoned" Palestinian properties could be used by the "homeless" Jewish refugees. He wrote the following month during a visit to al-Zeeb (14 km north of Acre):

"[The village had been] completely leveled and I now wonder if it was good that it was destroyed and would it not have been a greater revenge had we now settled Jews in the village houses. . . [The empty houses are] good for settlement of [our Jewish] brothers who wondered for generation upon generation, refugees. . . steeped in suffering and sorrow, as they, at last, find a roof over their heads. This was [the reason for] our war." (Benny Morris, p. 169)

We wonder what Palestinians have done to deserve Weitz's vengeful feelings?

Soon after war's end in 1949, Yosef Weitz pleaded with Ben-Gurion to take a firm and unequivocal stand against any possibility of restoring the Palestinian refugees to their homes. In September, he proposed a series of measures which would drive the refugees far from the border areas, deep into the Arab hinterland. He insisted that Palestinian refugees:

". . . must be harassed continually." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 29-30)

As if their mere existence is a "security" threat to the "Jewish state"?

In mid-1949 the Transfer Committee (whom Yosef Weitz was one of its three influential members) recommended that if Israel was to be completed to repatriate Palestinian refugees in the future, she must categorically refuse to return them to their villages--- only to the the towns, where they should not exceed 15% of the Jewish population. (1949, The First Israelis, p. 29-30)

Ironically, the Palestinian population in the "Jewish state" was reduced to that number after the 1948 war. The question that begs to be asked: Was that a coincidence? or Was it the Almighty's work?

In 1949 Yosef Weitz described his dismay at the increase number of the Oriental Jews. He stated:

"You know that we do not have a common language with them. Our culture level is not theirs. Their way of life is medieval. . . . While I was talking to Yosef Shprintsak, he expressed anxiety about preserving our cultural standards given the massive immigration from the Orient. There are indeed grounds for anxiety, but what's the use? Can we stop it?" Yaakov Zrubavel, head of the Middle East Department of the Jewish Agency, concurred. " Perhaps these are not the Jews we would like to see coming here [Jewish state], but we can hardly tell them not to come. . . ." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 156)

Often racists people exhibit the following pattern:
It's only that are racist against other races, they are also racist within their own racial or religious group as well.
Weitz, Ben-Gurion, Sharett, and Jabotinsky were racist as well. According to Sharett, he favored European Jews over Arab Jews since they were "the salt of the earth", click here if you wish to learn more about this subject.

Weitz was jubilant that Palestinians are no longer a majority in "Eretz Yisrael"; finally the obsession is no longer there. He wrote in 1949:

"[During the British Mandate period, the JNF had purchased land] crumb by crumb. But now a great change has taken place before our eyes. The spirit of Israel, in a giant thrust, has burst through the obstacles, and has conquered the keys to the land, and the road to fulfillment has been freed from its bonds and its guardians-enemies [referring to the Palestinians]. Now, only now, the hour has come for planning considered [regional] plans . . . The abandoned lands will never return to their absentee [Palestinian Arab] owners." (Benny Morris, p. 179)

By war's end in 1949, Yosef Weitz feared that the "infiltrating" (a common Israeli term that refers to returning) Palestinian refugees were coming back to their homes. He wrote Moshe Sharett that this "problem" is causing him a "great anxiety". He wrote:

"Every day our men encounter familiar faces, people who had been absent, and now they are walking about freely, step by step, returning to their villages. I fear that while you are discussing the issue in Laussanne and in other places, the problem is (unfortunately) solving itself---the refugees are coming back! And our government has taken no action to stop infiltration. There seems to be no authority, either military or civilian. We've loosened the rope, and the Arab, with his sly cunning, senses it and knows how to take advantage of it." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 31)

Despite that Yosef Weitz was instrumental in formulating and implementing the "transfer solution" to the "Palestinian Arab problem", it should be noted that he was among the few (along with Moshe Sharett and Aharon Cizling) to warn that the "Palestinian refugee problem" would not solve itself in due course of time, contrary to other Zionist leaders such as Ben-Gurion, Begin, and Golda Meir. He feared that:

"The ring of embittered [Palestinian] Arabs surrounding us with hatred and vengeance on all sides will not be loosened for many years to come, and we will act as a barrier to a genuine peace between us and our neighbors." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 31) In the latter part of 1949, Weitz proposed an extensive project of aiding Christian Palestinian Arabs to emigrate to South America. He wanted to purchase lands for them in the province of Mendoza. Actually, he went to Argentina to study the feasibility of the project first hand, however, he later noted that nothing came out of his proposal since the Israeli government was unable to make up its mind. (1949, The First Israelis, p. 63-64)

When it was possible Yosef Weitz often preferred purchasing Palestinian Arab lands rather than expropriating it (click here to view a map illustrating land ownership distribution per district as of 1945). On the other hand, Ben-Gurion always thought that such policy was a waste of money and eventually it would drive up the price of the land. Weitz continued to purchase land even after war's end, among other reasons, because he feared that the Jewish National Fund and its entire staff would become superfluous and be closed down. He noted bitterly in his diary:

"Ben-Gurion's way of thinking is that the [Jewish] state is above everything, and that the Zionist Federation is only there to serve it, and should exist only as long as it is need." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 85-86)

When the first Israeli Knesset convened in 1949, two elected Palestinian Arab-Israelis to the Knesset were present wearing their tradition headdress, he wrote in his diary:

"It chilled the heart and angered the soul," then he asked himself how these Palestinian Arab-Israelis MKs felt when they swore allegiance to the "Jewish state." He noted in his diary, "Isn't filled with lies and deceit? No. Nevertheless, I do not want there to be many of them. Perhaps they will integrate into society. But it will take several generations before they become loyal to the [Jewish] state." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 43)

Menachem Begin-A Brief Biography & Quotes

eMail to a friend

Posted on DECEMBER-10-2001
BASED On Declassified Israeli Documents & Personal Diaries

1913-1992

Manachem Begin was born in 1913 in Brest Litovsk, currently Belarus, and graduated as a lawyer from the University of Warsaw, Poland. After the Germans occupied Poland, he sought refuge in Lithuania. In 1942, he emigrated to Palestine where he led the Irgun terror gang. Since the British proposed the policies set out in the 1939 White Paper, Begin as well as Shamir (who led the Stern terror gang) joined forces to wage a wave of terror against British and the Palestinian people during WW II. Both Begin and Shamir were wanted by the British as terrorists for war crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Irgun and Begin were credited with the most famous massacre against Palestinian civilians, during the 1948 war,. visit DEIR YASSIN for further details. For internal Israeli political reasons, the Irgun, Stern and Begin were unfairly singled out by the main stream Israelis as a terrorists. On the other hand, the Haganah committed the lion's share of undisclosed war crimes against the Palestinian people. Between 1948-1977 Begin led the Israeli opposition as a member of the Likud party, and in 1977 he became Israel's sixth Prime Minister. He is credited with achieving the first peace treaty and neutralizing Egypt's army. With Egypt sidelined, Begin felt comfortable attacking the PLO and destroying its bases in Lebanon during the 1982 Israeli invasion. He resigned office in 1983 soon after the death of his wife, and then lived in seclusion until his death in 1992.

It's worth noting that Begin was a major disciple of Ze'ev Jabotinsky, and a strong believer in the IRON WALL theory. The lose of both of his parents during the Holocaust had a profound affect on his political life. From his quotes below, you will get an idea how much the Holocaust had obscured his vision of reality, and created a two dimensional view of the world around him. The Nazi war crimes against Jews were often cited by Begin as an excuse for heavy handed policies against the Palestinian people and Arabs in general.

Famous Quotes

One day after the U.N. vote to partition Palestine, Menachem Begin, the commander of the Irgun and Israel's future Prime Minster between 1977-1983, proclaimed:

"The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized .... Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever." (Iron Wall p. 25 & Simha Flapan, p. 32)

Soon after Menachem Begin and the Likud party won the Israeli election in 1977, the government's foreign policy was stated as follows:

"the Jewish people have unchallengeable, eternal, historic right to the Land of Israel [including the West Bank and Gaza Strip], the inheritance of their forefathers," and pledged to build rural and urban exclusive Jewish colonies in the West Bank and Gaza Strip." (Iron Wall, p. 354-355) This is a typical Zionist argument where the Bible or the "Word of God" is being used to achieve political objectives.

While Menachem Begin was negotiating the with Egypt on the final status of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, he presented the following reasoning why Israel cannot withdraw from these areas:

"Israel will not transfer Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza District to any foreign sovereign authority, [because] of the historic right of our nation to this land, [and] the needs of our national security, which demand a capability to defend our State and the lives of our citizens." (Iron Wall, p. 356)

Again Begin used the Holocaust as a justification for the invasion of Lebanon. On June 5, 1982 he told the Israeli Cabinet:

"The hour of decision has arrived. You know what I have done, and what all of us have done. to prevent war and bereavement. But our fate is that in the Land of Israel there is no escape from fighting in the spirit of self-sacrifice. Believe me, the alternative to fighting is Treblinka, and we have resolved that there would be no Treblinkas. This is the moment in which courageous choice has to be made. The criminal terrorists and the world must know that the Jewish people have a right to self-defense, just like any other people" (Iron Wall, p. 404-405).

Almost 18 years later, the Israeli army was forced out of Lebanon after murdering more than 20,000 Lebanese & Palestinian civilians. The only difference between the old and the new Treblinka that in the new Treblinka it was Lebanese and Palestinian civilians who were being murdered, not Jews.

When the American President Ronald Reagan threatened to review American-Israeli relations over the indiscriminate carpet bombing of Beirut in 1982, once again the Prime Minister of the "Jewish state" used the Holocaust to clamp down on his critics, Menachem Begin wrote president Reagan:

"Now may I tell you, dear Mr. President, how I feel these days when I turn to the creator of my soul in deep gratitude. I feel as a Prime Minister empowered to instruct a valiant army facing Berlin where amongst innocent civilians, Hitler and his henchmen hide in a bunker deep beneath the surface. My generation, dear Ron, swore on the alter of God that whoever proclaims his intent to destroy the Jewish state or the Jewish people, or both, seals his fate, so that which happened once on instruction from Berlin---with or without inverted commas--- will never happen again" (Iron Wall, p. 404-405).

If Palestinians felt that Israel was founded based on the destruction of their hopses, and the theft of their homes, farms, businesses, ports, banks, ..etc., would it be just to mention the memories of Sabara and Shatila to justify the the carpet bombing of Tel-Aviv?

The reference to the Holocaust is often used and abused by many Israeli leaders to justify aggression, invasion, and the usurpation of other people's rights. When President Reagan sent a letter to Menachem Begin condemning the attack on the Iraqi civilian nuclear reactor in June 1981, Begin responded with a letter replete with references to the Holocaust, he wrote:

"A million and half children were poisoned by the Ziklon gas during the Holocaust. Now Israel's children were about to be poisoned by radioactivity. For two years we have lived in the shadow if the danger awaiting Israel from nuclear reactor in Iraq. This would have been a new Holocaust . It was prevented by the heroism of our pilots to whom we owe so much." (Iron Wall, p. 387)

Menachem Begin was strongly influenced by Ze'ev Jabotinsky's Iron Wall theory, he stated to Eliahu Ben-Elissar (the director general of the PM's office):

"The deterrent power, or in Jabotinsky's language THE IRON WALL, was intended to convince the Arabs that they would not be able to get rid of the sovereign Jewish presence in the Land of Israeli, even if they would not bring themselves to recognize the justice of the Jewish people's claim to the homeland." (Iron Wall, p. 354)

Revisionist History...
carter-sadat-begin-1978.jpg, image/jpeg, 314x181

The Irgun exclusively attacked military targets, all of them British. In his entire autobiography, Begin does not record a single attack on the local Arab population. Deir Yassin he describes as heavy house to house fighting.

In fact, he claims that many Arabs gave the Irgun grudging appreciation as they were no fans of the British either. The Irgun would telephone a warning prior to bombing any target. This is a huge difference from Palestinian suicide bombers who NEVER warn those in the target area in advance.

(from above) Menachem Begin said: ""The hour of decision has arrived. 404-405).

BECKY: The King of Jordan had kicked the PLO out with his Black September Palestinian massacre (the real one) in which 3,000 to 5,000 Palestinians were killed in just 10 days. They moved into southern Lebanon and regrouped. There, they began murdering Christian Lebanese and firing rockets over the fence into Northern Israel.

In Lebanon, hundreds of thousands were massacred, displaced and exiled.

see: http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_current_christians.php

WHY DID ISRAEL LAUNCH AN INCURSION INTO LEBANON IN 1982?

Israel charged that the PLO staged 270 terrorist actions in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, and along the Lebanese and Jordanian borders. Twentynine Israelis died and more than 300 were injured in the attacks. In April 1982, after a landmine killed an Israeli officer, the rocket attacks and air strikes recommenced.

Israeli strikes and commando raids were unable to stem the growth of the PLO army which built camps, trained thousands of fighters, and stockpiled arms in south Lebanon. The situation in the Galilee became intolerable as the frequency of attacks forced thousands of Israeli residents to flee their homes or to spend large amounts of time in bomb shelters. Israel was not prepared to wait for more deadly attacks to be launched against its civilian population before acting against the PLO terrorists.

The final provocation occurred in June 3, 1982 when a Palestinian terrorist group led by Abu Nidal attempted to assassinate Israel's Ambassador to Great Britain, Shlomo Argov. The IDF subsequently bombed PLO bases and ammunition dumps in Beirut and attacked other targets in Lebanon on June 4-5, 1982.

BECKY: When Begin invoked memories of the Nazi Holocaust, he was saying if we don't fight those who would have us dead, they win. The PLO in southern Lebanon were committing atrocities, assassinations, kidnappings, and rocket attacks across the border. Also, Lebanese groups were begging the IDF to intervene.

Mossad assets?
thanks for this research,Nabila Harb

-In the States, as well as elsewhere in the West, the Zionist influence over the media must not be underestimated.

Zuckerman, who owns the Atlantic Monthly and the infamous New York rag, the Daily News.-

after all, these circles do run in and around heavy international banking interests.
Blood-money.

By Richard Sale
UPI Intelligence Correspondent
Washington Politics & Policy Desk

Israel is embarking upon a more aggressive approach to the war on terror that will include staging targeted killings in the United States and other friendly countries, former Israeli intelligence officials told United Press International.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has forbidden the practice until now, these sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The Israeli statements were confirmed by more than a half dozen U.S. foreign policy and intelligence officials in interviews with UPI.

With the appointment of Meir Dagan, the new director Israel's Mossad secret intelligence service, Sharon is also preparing "a huge budget" increase for the spy agency as part of "a tougher stance in fighting global jihad (or holy war)," one Israeli official said.

Since Sharon became Israeli prime minister, Tel Aviv has mainly limited its practice of targeted killings to the West Bank and Gaza because "no one wanted such operations on their territory," a former Israeli intelligence official said.

Another former Israeli government official said that under Sharon, "diplomatic constraints have prevented the Mossad from carrying out 'preventive operations' (targeted killings) on the soil of friendly countries until now."

He said Sharon is "reversing that policy, even if it risks complications to Israel's bilateral relations."

A former Israeli military intelligence source agreed: "What Sharon wants is a much more extensive and tough approach to global terrorism, and this includes greater operational maneuverability."

Does this mean assassinations on the soil of allies?

"It does," he said.
****

Former Israel Defense Forces Lt. Col. Gal Luft, who served under Dagan, described him as an 'extremely creative individual – creative to the point of recklessness.' A former CIA official who knows Dagan said the new Mossad director knows 'his foreign affairs inside and out,' and has a 'real killer instinct.'"

From UPI,

"Diplomatic constraints have prevented the Mossad from carrying out 'preventive operations' (targeted killings) on the soil of friendly countries until now. He said Sharon is 'reversing that policy, even if it risks complications to Israel's bilateral relations.'

As Jane's Intelligence Digest remarked at the time:

"It is rather strange that the U.S. media, with one notable exception, seems to be ignoring what may well prove to be the most explosive story since the 11 September attacks – the alleged break-up of a major Israeli espionage operation in the United States which aimed to infiltrate both the justice and defence departments and which may also have been tracking Al-Qaeda terrorists before the aircraft hijackings took place."-

- "Dagan is also urging that Mossad operatives rely less on secret sources and rely more on open information that is so plentifully provided on the [*]Internet[*] and newspapers. 'It's a cultural thing,' one former Israeli intelligence operative explained. 'Mossad in the past has put its emphasis on Humint (human intelligence) and secret operations and has neglected the whole field of open media, which has become extremely important.'"

spies- a practice as old as war

by Tia Monday, May. 22, 2006 at 7:53 PM

With the appointment of Meir Dagan, the new director Israel's Mossad secret intelligence service, Sharon is also preparing "a huge budget" increase for the spy agency as part of "a tougher stance in fighting global jihad (or holy war),"

This is a time honored practice:
From Sun Tzu's the Art of War

4. What enables the wise sovereign and the good
general to strike and conquer, and achieve things beyond
the reach of ordinary men, is foreknowledge.

5. Now this foreknowledge cannot be elicited from spirits;
it cannot be obtained inductively from experience,
nor by any deductive calculation.

6. Knowledge of the enemy's dispositions can only
be obtained from other men.

7. Hence the use of spies, of whom there are five classes:
(1) Local spies; (2) inward spies; (3) converted spies;
(4) doomed spies; (5) surviving spies.

8. When these five kinds of spy are all at work,
none can discover the secret system.

Hence it is only the enlightened ruler and the
wise general who will use the highest intelligence of
the army for purposes of spying and thereby they achieve
great results.

Anti-Israel Hatefest at UC Irvine

Anti-Israel Hatefest at UC Irvine
by Aaron Hanscom • Monday, May. 22, 2006 at 8:20 AM

Nazis in Irvine!

When the Muslim Student Union at the University of California at Irvine planned last week's "Holocaust in the Holy Land" event (some representative video excerpts can be seen here), four days of anti-Israel agitation aimed at portraying the Jewish State as the modern avatar of Nazi Germany, it settled on the obvious choice for a keynote speaker: Norman Finkelstein.

In a cast of Israel slanderers, including Jews such as the ultra-Orthodox Rabbi David Weiss, Finkelstein was the main attraction. It’s not hard to see why. Finkelstein's resume would warm the hearts of Israel's most fanatical enemies. The professor of political science at Chicago's DePaul University is a self-proclaimed Holocaust expert and, not unrelatedly, a veritable celebrity among Holocaust deniers. Being the son of Holocaust survivors hasn't made this Jewish academic sympathetic to the six million Jews exterminated by the Nazis. In fact, Finkelstein believes that most Holocaust survivors are bogus and that "by hammering on the uniqueness of the Holocaust and the exclusive link between Holocaust and Jews, the Holocaust industry has become the main promoter of antisemitism." When is it appropriate to bring up the Holocaust? Only when it serves the purpose of bashing Israel. Finkelstein explained back in 2002 how easy it would be to put an end to the Nazi analogies to Israel, a propaganda tactic popularized by Finkelstein himself: "If Israelis don't want to stand accused of being Nazis they should simply stop acting like Nazis."

Finkelstein thus felt right at home at the annual Israel-bashing event at UC Irvine, a hotbed of anti-Israel activism. The Crystal Cove Auditorium where he delivered his remarks was at its maximum capacity, thanks in large part to the Muslim students who just weeks ago were at the same location protesting the College Republicans' showing the now-famous cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. Less controversial to them was the decision to use provocative titles like "Israel: The Fourth Reich" for the week's events. So long as it is confined to vilifying Israel, Muslim activists are staunch champions of free speech.

On this score Finkelstein did not disappoint. He began his speech, titled "Obstacles to Peace: Israelis or Palestinians", on the very subject of controversy. His thesis was that the Israel-Palestine conflict is not "controversial at all." But the professor wasn't referring to such uncontroversial matters as the need for Hamas to renounce all terrorism and recognize the right of Israel to exist before peace can be made. Rather, he meant that Israel, the lone democracy in the region, and a country to which many Palestinians are eager to immigrate, was the world's greatest human rights violator. Probably this line of thinking was not controversial to the MSU student sitting in the front row and wearing an "Intifada" T-shirt. Among a less obsequious crowd it certainly would have been a subject for debate.

But Finkelstein was not interested in debate. Indeed, throughout the night Finkelstein seemed to take it for granted that his views would go unchallenged. He often used the first-person plural when addressing the audience, declaring that the United Nations and Human Rights Organizations "are on our side." Since the facts clearly weren't on his side, Finkelstein opted to obscure them. Hence he denied that Palestinians became refugees in 1948 after being told by Arab leaders to flee to neighboring states until their advancing armies destroyed Israel. Such denials, a common feature of Arab propaganda, are supported by not a shred of evidence. On the other hand, evidence attesting to the Arab policy, including Arab sources, is overwhelming. Yet Finkelstein, making no concession to the historical record, claimed that "most historians now concur" that 1948 was an "ethnic cleansing" by Israel. As his source for this, as well as other spurious claims he made throughout the night, Finkelstein cited the Israeli historian Benny Morris. But Morris has called Finkelstein "more of a pro-Palestinian propagandist than a serious scholar." Finkelstein of course declined to mention that inconvenient detail.

Instead, Finkelstein presented himself as a brave professor speaking truth to power. About two hours into his rambling speech, Finkelstein was informed that he'd have to wrap up his remarks. He refused. After glancing at the several police officers standing at the exits, he explained that while he is a "great believer in the rule of law," he didn't approve of the "arbitrary rule of law." He would continue speaking. Yet the professor's defiance was less courageous than he may have supposed. UC Irvine would never pull the plug on an Muslim Student event and run the risk of being labeled "racist." The same spirit of appeasement was evident a few months ago, when the college police were hesitant to remove a Muslim heckler from the audience during the College Republicans' event.

Finkelstein dismissed the prevalence of such political correctness. American universities are so politically correct, he said, that they can't be "anti-anything." At the same time, he took advantage of one of the key provisions of the PC climate whose existence he denies: the freedom to attack with impunity unfashionable groups like Jews. Thus Finkelstein waved aside the notion that anti-Semitism is prevalent on campus as "preposterous." Before accepting the validity of this assertion, one should be aware that Finkelstein also made the claim that there is no evidence of new anti-Semitism in Europe. In fact, he stated that the evidence shows a decline in European anti-Semitism since 1991. Maybe Finkelstein doesn't realize that countries such as France and England are part of Europe, or that the European Union doesn’t like to publicize its anti-Semitism reports.

The fact is that Finkelstein can't recognize anti-Semitism whether it is staring him in the face or coming straight from his mouth. Shamelessly, in front of an MSU organization that uses the word "Holocaust" to characterize Israel's national defense, Finkelstein criticized what he called the "Holocaust uniqueness" argument used by Jews to justify Israel's actions and deflect attention from its human rights violations. He said that Jews were guilty of the "dragging in of the Holocaust" whenever Israel comes under international pressure. Finkelstein, who dismisses the suffering of the six million Jews who died during the Holocaust, didn't feel compelled to mention Hamas' desire to drive the Jews into the sea. His only concern with regards to Hamas was exposing the "hypocrisy" of demanding the terrorist group to recognize Israel's right to exist. In Finkelstein's mind, Israel betrays the ideals of democracy until it embraces the terrorist group intent on destroying it. Finkelstein ended the night by making the ludicrous claim that he can think of no other place in the world that has less anti-Semitism than Palestine. Perhaps if Finkelstein had stopped denouncing Israel long enough to turn on the television or visit a school on one his many trips to the region he would have had a more informed perspective.

Finkelstein probably also missed any signs of anti-Semitism on the UC Irvine campus. But it is real enough. Because Jewish students at the university have been physically threatened and are afraid to wear clothing or jewelry identifying them as Jewish, UC Irvine has become the first American college to be the subject of an anti-Semitism probe by the U.S. Office for Civil Rights. Finkelstein's host, the Muslim Student Union, has always been unambiguous about its anti-Semitism, even though it does its best to avoid using the word "Jew" when attacking Jews who live in Israel or Jews who support Israel's right to exist. "Israelis Love to Kill Innocent Children" was written on a sign posted on campus by the MSU in 2002. Also in 2002, the MSU sponsored a speech by the radical Oakland imam, Abdel Malik Ali, in the course of which he revealed his plan for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: "Israel wants Palestinians to have their own state. It's beyond that now. No. That's off the table. One state. Majority rules. Us. The Muslims."

Last week's events at UC Irvine provided more evidence that the anti-Semitism probe is justified. Next to the mock Israeli "apartheid" wall set up in the center of campus on Tuesday, MSU students wearing leather sandals and taqiyahs passed out papers with the title "Exploiting the Holocaust to Justify Genocide." A quote from Finkelstein himself could be found just below: "The Holocaust has become the ideological justification for the oppression of the Palestinian people." Justifications for terrorism, such as blowing up teenagers at pizzerias, could be found on the "For Justice We Fight" pamphlet published by Alkalima, the Muslim magazine at UC Irvine. Targeting innocent civilians is justified, according to the magazine, because "the individual or community that participates in jihad finds itself between two blissful outcomes, either victory and the establishment of justice, or the reward of martyrdom and Paradise."

In the Jewish Finkelstein, these budding jihadists have found their useful idiot.

Good quote

by Sheepdog Tuesday, May. 23, 2006 at 12:33 PM

"If Israelis don't want to stand accused of being Nazis they should simply stop acting like Nazis."

How could they behave any different when they learned so much from them in the inception of this criminal state of pirates.
Theodor Herzl (1860-1904), the founder of modern Zionism, recognized that anti-Semitism would further his cause, the creation of a separate state for Jews. To solve the Jewish Question, he maintained “we must, above all, make it an international political issue.”[1]Herzl wrote that Zionism offered the world a welcome “final solution of the Jewish question.”[2]In his “Diaries”, page 19, Herzl stated “Anti-Semites will become our surest friends, anti-Semitic countries our allies.”

Egypt Says Hamas Harboring Wanted Dahab Attack Plotter in Gaza

A suspected plotter of last month's triple bomb blasts in the Sinai resort town of Dahab has infiltrated the Gaza Strip and has been extended refuge there by local terror groups, including members of Hamas, according to Egyptian officials.
Egyptian authorities issued a request for Hamas to arrest and turn over the alleged attack plotter, who they said escaped from the Al-Arish region of the Sinai.

Arabs urged to invest in image-building in US
By Shakir Husain, Staff Reporter

Dubai: An influential American Muslim group on Monday urged Arab businesses to invest in image-building in the US to secure their long-term interests.

"If the image of Islam and Muslims is not repaired in America, Muslim and Arab business interests will continue to be on a downward slide in the US," said Parvez Ahmad, chairman of the board of the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The political backlash against DP World taking over management of six key US ports was "really an issue that gets to the core of this problem," he said.

Referring to the volatile nature of politics on Capitol Hill, Ahmad said it is "very easy for one person to create the hysteria and have a backlash."

The public firestorm over DP World began after New York Democratic Senator Charles Schumer said he was against an Arab company managing US ports.

A US delegation led by CAIR officials yesterday held discussions with Al Habtoor group chairman Khalaf Al Habtoor and other businessmen in Dubai about a $50-million public relations campaign that the US group has launched in the US to change negative public perceptions about Islam.

"It is the most ambitious public relations campaign anywhere in the world that the Muslims have thought about to change perceptions about Islam," Ahmad said, calling on Arab businesses to make contributions towards the campaign that will run for five years.

"Do not think about your contributions as donations. Think about it from the perspective of rate of return. The investment of $50 million will give you billions of dollars in return for 50 years," the CAIR official said.

He said it was important to deal with the image problem in the US because America will "continue to remain a superpower and the largest economy in the world for at least the next 50 years."

Former Congressman Paul Ridley, a member of the delegation, expressed concern that a "few voices representing bigotry, racism and ignorance" were able to prevail on public policy on the DP World issue.

"I am amazed at these voices of members of Congress. I know they have a better understanding than the words they convey publicly suggest," Ridley said.

CAIR, which is located near the US Senate, plans to boost its activities with a new $24-million office building.

It has acquired land for a new seven-storey building and is now raising funds to start construction.

"This building will provide CAIR $3 million per year in revenues. That will provide enough stability from an operational side," Ahmad said.

The NGO Monitor issued a report targeting 11 Ford Foundation grants since the foundation adopted new standards against promoting violence, terrorism, or bigotry.
Significant contributions were made to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, International Committee of Jurists, Miftah, Al-Haq, and Al-Mezan, whose "activities are primarily political, and they exploit human rights rhetoric to delegitimize Israel."
Many of these organizations were active at the 2001 Durban Conference on human rights, which turned into an assault on Israel.

I type fast

by Becky Johnson Wednesday, May. 24, 2006 at 10:39 AM

It's no mystery. I have a college degree. I was on the varsity debate team when I was in high school. I've raised three children, mostly by myself, and have been an activist since I was 14 and marched against the Vietnam War.

I organized my first protest at age 16 ---against a big game hunter giving a speech at my school. At my high school, I was the editor of the underground newspaper: "Radio Free America."

I've been an activist and a writer for at least ten years now, and I have a television show too. I also produced a radio show for ten years. The television show will air tonight at 7PM on channel 27. How do I find the time to post here?

Easy. I have super powers and I type fast.

So how do pay for your dog chow, considering all the time you spend padding from thread to thread here?

Liars and Cheaters: a short history

by Becky Johnson Wednesday, May. 24, 2006 at 11:55 AM
Santa Cruz, CA.

Liars and Cheaters: ...
doctored_corrie_photo.jpg, image/jpeg, 480x324

I don't like liars or cheats anymore than you do. But I have a different definition than you do aparently. For instance, when a group of monitors selectively censor a debate, by deleting responses by people who hold opinions they disagree with and leaving up opinions of those who support their positions, then I call that "cheating". It's certainly NOT a fair debate or a level-playing field.

And when people say that they support freedom of speech, or diversity, or even democratic processes, AND they IP block people, endlessly delete or hide articles, or use a public forum for a character assassination where the victim is not allowed to respond (this has happened to me at Santa Cruz IMC) then I call that lying ---or at the very least hypocrisy.

About Israel---when people say that Israel is an Apartheid State--I would call that a lie--but its probably more correctly an opinion. I call it a lie because Israel is 20% Arab/Muslim, has people of all colors, recognizes 15 religions, is NOT a tiny white majority dominating a huge black majority (Jews are in the majority in Israel even including the West Bank and Gaza), doesn't deny the vote to its Arab minority, and doesn't have 85% of its population on 15% of its land.

When you call a fence a wall, that is lying.

Of course, those who said that 1500 were killed in Jenin in 2002 when only 56 were killed were lying.

And when the ISM insisted that Rachel Corrie had been murdered, they were lying --- or perhaps it was just wishful thinking.

When they posted the photo with the house behind it, they were lying ---- When they posted the Before and After photos and said they had been taken minutes apart, they were lying.

When you say that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians , YOU are lying.

When you say that I am paid by some pro-Zionist agent, YOU are lying.

And when you said that I am no longer a homeless activist, were you telling the truth?

Its also a tragedy when children are hurt

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 6:56 AM

So lets not forget these Israeli children, killed at family celebrations, riding the bus to school, or going out for pizza with their friend:

Mar 26, 2001 - Shalhevet Pass, age 10 months, was killed by sniper fire in Hebron

June 11, 2001 - Yehuda Shoham, aged 5 months, of Shilo, died of injuries incurred in a fatal stoning on June 5. He was critically injured by a rock thrown at the family's car near Shilo in Samaria. ("children throwing stones- its just symbolic. It can't hurt anyone')

Avraham Yitzhak Schijveschuurder, 4, of Neria; Hemda Schijveschuurder, 2, of Neria; of Jerusalem were killed and about 130 injured in a suicide bombing at the Sbarro pizzeria Jerusalem.

Shiraz Nehmad, 7, Liran Nehmad, 3, of Rishon Lezion; Oriah Ilan, 18 months, of Rishon Lezion; Ya'akov Avraham, 7 months, of Jerusalem. Avraham Eliahu Nehmad, 7, of Rishon Lezion, were killed and over 50 were injured, 4 critically, in a suicide bombing in Jerusalem where people had gathered for a bar-mitzva celebration

Mar 9, 2002 - Avia Malka, 9 months, killed when two Palestinians opened fire and threw grenades at cars and pedestrians in the coastal city of Netanya

Gal Eisenman, 5, of Ma'ale Adumim, when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded bus stop and hitchhiking post at the French Hill intersection in northern Jerusalem. She was a red-haired little moppet- we were friends with her family.

May 2004 T wo Palestinian Arab gunmen mercilessly shot to death Tali Hatuel, 36, and her four daughters, all under the age of 12. Tali was 8 months pregnant. She threw herself over her daughters to protect them. The gunmen shot her in her stomach, then killed her daughters. 2 year old Meirav Hatuel was murdered while strapped in her car seat

more tragedy

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 7:18 AM

Not an inclusive list- I mostly listed little ones killed.

I have a copy of ISM's booklet- "Remember these Children". When you go through it, you realize that nearly 80 percent of the Palestinian "child casualties" are older teenage boys. I asked Alison Weir what she thought of this statistic. She said "Boys tend to engage in more risk taking behavior". Yes, they do. They also used as child combatants.

If you compare statistics (combatants vs non-comabtents, female vs male) to control for the Palestinian use of child soldiers, you get a different perspective Israeli fatalities have consisted of 80 percent noncombatants. The proportion of females among Israeli fatalities is around 30 percent . Palestinian fatalities, in contrast, have been consistently and overwhelmingly (over 95 percent) male.

Can you explain this?

I can.

A friend of mind explained the MO of Palestinian mobs to me- he had just completed his IDF service. He said that a mixed mob of children (boys) and adults would gather- and pass around a single rifle, taking turns sniping at Israelis. When the army was called in- they had no single target to fire at- there was no lone guman. If shots were exchanged and someone was killed, the mob would disperse, carrying with them the sole gun. And then the papers could write about the unarmed palestinian who was shot dead.

If your grief is real and sincere

by Scapegoated Jew Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 7:19 AM

Why don't you quit making moral equivalence between Palestinian children and teenagers hit while being combatants as per int'l law and non-combatant Israeli children massacred as they were going about their own business?
Why don't you demand also reparations to the 900,000 Jews who fled or were kicked out of Arab lands in the late 1940's with little else but there clothes on them?
Why don't you quit demanding to allow a "return" of unoriginal refugees who were victimized by Arab governments who have kept them in squalor for almost 6 decades to use as pawns against Israel -- the single case of its kind across the globe -- rather than rehabilitate and integrate them in the host countries?
You really expect us to believe "the lists of sorrow" will become passe when Hamas and Hizballah are kept unchecked?

Your murder definition is your stumbling block

by Scapegoated Jew Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 7:40 AM

Firstly, the problem is your standards.
You put a Palestinian adolescent/child terrorists ("resistors" in your parlance) seeking to massacre as many non-combatants they can (usually in residential areas) on the same moral plane as IDF soldiers who target combatants, be they in their 40s or teens.

Secondly, you're trying to shove the "valuable" and "uncivilized beasts" strawmen into my mouth. Can't you ever get over your kneejerk compulsion to such dishonest debate tactics?

Thirdly, your definition of murder is pretty twisted. Acts of killing combatants during combat aren't the equivalent of murder -- not legally nor morally.

Crucial differences

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 7:42 AM

Because you alledge/insinuate that they were all combatants? Then they are just casualites of war...is that it?

There have been tragic errors made by both sides in this conflict.
The crucial difference is that when Israel makes a tragic error- they apologize, they investigate, and the country grieves. There is acountablity. The Palestinians have targetted civilians in this conflict- and they applaude the deaths of the innocents.

Abu Nasser, was involved in plotting the attack in Tel Aviv that killed Daniel Wultz, 16 of Florida. Daniel was killed eating at a restaurant with his dad. Nasser rejoiced in the news of Daniel's death saying that he was, “sorry there was not more of this stuff. American and Zionist – this is the best target combination we could dream of. This is the ideal target."

Or is it just that those uncivilized beasts don't count?
Your attempt to justify murdering children when the IDF does it, but not when Palestinian resistors do it is hypocritical.

You're an ignoramous ahistorical clown (Aside from the racism)

Your strawman timeline (written under the premise that nationalist Jews of all currents are only entitled to live where the Arab inhabitants permit them to and only live under dhimmi Muslim oppression) would have the origins of the destruction and desecration at 1882, right? Or you don't even know what the hell this year signifies in Zionist history.
Problem is, the destruction began in immense proportions in late 1999, the heyday of the capitulatory Oslo process, and continued through the Camp David and Taba summits where Israel was clearly willing to give away almost everything except a viable state within the 1949 armistice lines. Something you, Artafat and the other anti-peace forces in "Palestine" wouldn't hear about. The more Israel was willing to grant the Palis, the more massive destruction of Jewish sites occurred at Palestinian hands.

It's comical to watch you endlessly parade your seemingly bottomless ignorance of history for us.

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 3:34 PM

You're referring to the buying of absentee landlords' property and I'm talking about violent ethnic cleansing.
They're different situations where one is mere injustice and the other Genocide.

So explain genocide and how it relates in this situation. We've shown a rapidly expanding Palestinian population provided by Israel with health care, hospital, sewers, schools. We've already shown rising female literacy, and declining infant mortality.
What evidence do you have of genocide? 3,000 deaths in 5 years? You'll have to do better than that. What evidence do you have of intent to commit genocide?

what about them? Were they violently terrorized and forced to flee?
Then shame on these people.
If not, so what?

Strategic avoidance

by Scapegoated Jew Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 3:36 PM

You're avoiding the reality of land acquisition from landlords like the plague so that you can always play the genocide bit to your advantage. Unfortunately for you, genocide hasn't happened and ethnic cleansing only barely during 1948. But we know you'll keep on twisted definitions ad infinitum to justify your rabid racist position predicated on revisionist history.

Tia, get with it

Stop trying to redefine Genocide. Here, again ( for christ's sake )
Genocide
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Genocide (Quick Definition): Intentional killing of people

Genocide is defined by the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) Article 2 as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: Killing members of the group; Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; and forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.-

now about this habit you have with legalese and other weasel talk. It doesn't matter if the Palestinians have RESISTED genocide it's the act itself and the many other international crimes committed by Israel.

Yep

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 3:42 PM

They were indeed violently terrorized and forced to flee- many with just the clothes on their backs. There were Jews in these areas for thousands of years.
In 1948 and after, 850,000 Jews expelled from Arab lands.
Very few remain today.
They are the forgotten refugees.
If Israel was smart, they would have put these refugees in camps and let them languish for 60 years, to be used as a bargining chip in the future. Instead, Israel incorporated as many as it could. Others went elsewhere.

Stop trying to redefine Genocide. Here, again ( for christ's sake )
Genocide
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Genocide (Quick Definition): Intentional killing of people

You know this definition doesn't work. Does that mean the 5 kids that were shot in Richmond last week were victims of genocide? Does that mean the Zodiac killer commited genocide? It is meant to be much more than "intentional killing" (and you know that)

Or we can use the gold standard, the OED:

"The deliberate and systematic extermination of an ethnic or national group. "

now about this habit you have with legalese and other weasel talk. It doesn't matter if the Palestinians have RESISTED genocide it's the act itself and the many other international crimes committed by Israel.

I think the key words are deliberate and systematic. The situation in Israel does not met that criteria. And I believe, if genocide was indeed Israeli's goal- that it is something they could accomplish. Rather than risking casualties by going door to door, for example- they could follow America's example and drop cluster bombs and daisy cutters. Did you notice Israel built a fence- they didn't lay land mines?
To me, Israel has shown restraint in dealing with this issue.

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 4:44 PM

Is that how you define the result of the campaign of zionist terror and the ones who refused to flee under its threat?

The ones that didn't flee are the Israeli Arabs that make up 20 % of its population today.

There is also the matter of Jordan- part of the original British Mandate that many consider to be the promised Palestinain homeland.

There is also the matter of the UN definition of Palestinian refugee- for two points and a tie, can you explain how the definition of a Palestinian refugee is unique in history?

"The situation in Israel does not met that criteria-
and only the blinders you wear allows you to make a statement like this. "

The burden of proof is on the prosecution.
Show me deliberate. Show me systematic.

I see tragic accidents. I see "comparative negligence'' on the part of the Palestinians. (more legalese) . I see real negligence on the part of Israel for allowing this siituation to go on as long as it has.

But I also see towards Israel , here and on other Indy medias, unfair demonization and double standards. That is why I feel compelled to speak out. There are two parties in this conflict. There are two parties that share the burden of finding a peaceul solution. The cycle of violence must end, and I don't see Hamas moving in that direction. Do you?

by Tia Thursday, May. 25, 2006 at 7:50 PM

I've seen a gaggle of zionists try and 'take over' this wire.
Like an assault.

We came here to defend Becky Johnson against the McCarthy like attack against her. Some of us stayed . We have as much of a right to post here as anyone.

Not a good position to defend.

Why?

Even with the teamwork involved in trying to make it seem reasonable.

We aren't a team. Admittedly, I have met some of the other local posters. We are also involved in other forms of activism, so our paths have crossed. I have no control over them or their behavior, nor they of mine.

If you wish to gain credence, you should speak out against such authors as Judasgoat, gehrig and the other rabid weasels.

No control. No influence. And I don't disagree with them.

But you remain silent, only defending or equivocating the horror.
This will never turn the tide of sorrow.

You are a parent, right? If you were a Palestinian in Ramallah, what would you tell your child? Would you tell him to throw stones at tanks? Would you tell him to drop cinderblocks off buildings?

I would tell my child that education is the only way out, and that all the great religions of the world agree that love is the only thing strong enough to conquer hate. I would seek the path of peace and pursue it. I would resist the forces that teach and preach hate. The path of violence leads to more violence. I know in my heart that it is not the way. Folk like Nessie that preach hate and violence have underlying motives that I do not trust or understand.

SHEEPDOG WRITES: "I've seen a gaggle of zionists try and 'take over' this wire. Like an assault. "

BECKY: Tia is right about why a handful of pro-Israel activists have been posting on LA.Indymedia. We all came to challenge the true assault on my character launched by one, Joseph Anderson (JA) of Berkeley, Ca. Contrary to your assertions, I didn't ask Tia, or Gehrig, or Critical Thinker to come here and defend me, but I was, of course, very happy when they did.

The reason we stay is that SF.IMC and Indybay.org (where we all REALLY belong) keeps censoring, hiding, and deleting our articles. Autoblocked had his IP address blocked at Indybay and I had my IP address autoblocked at Santa Cruz IMC (where I personally belong ).

But just because the shaggy one is uneducable, despair not! Lots of people read Indymedia, and the debate as it unfolds can be a real eye-opener for some of the well-meaning A.N.S.W.E.R. types who frequent these pages.

I really like LA.Indymedia's self-monitoring system of buttons under each post. If they get a LOT of people pushing the FRAUD button or the DOUBLE POST button, they can see what the fuss is about. Since I assume it goes into a simple counter, it is balanced between the various political perspectives--in theory, at least.

I don't mean to be any trouble to monitors, who almost always are volunteers. However I think my work as a writer on poverty and social justice issues is as important for the IMC's I write for, as the work of monitors.

Otherwise, its like having a refrigerator and no food.

Sheepdog, what would you do if you didn't have someone to debate with? What if everyone who was allowed to post said "Zionism equals racism" "Israel the Apartheid state"
and "IDF machine-gunning schoolchildren" and NO ONE who disagreed was allowed to post?

If this is the world you long for----I suggest you trot north to www.sf.indymedia.org or www.indybay.org/palestine where you can experience the pure, clean, politically correct, Zionist-santitized silent death of a once vibrant indymedia.

I bet you'd be back here within 48 hours longing to get another hit from a rolled up newspaper wielded by Schtarker Yid.

Speaking of Genocide...
child_in_darfur.jpg, image/jpeg, 360x240

Have you taken the Darfur Pledge yet?

The REAL genocide going on in the Darfur region of Sudan has taken the lives of 400,000 Sudanese in the past two years.

Three and a half million people are currently displaced and living in camps that make Jenin look like the Hilton.

(compare this with the 5,000 total deaths on BOTH SIDES from the Al Aqsa Intifada in FIVE YEARS and displaced people a scant 650,000 of whom most have died of old age)

In Sudan, humanitarian relief workers are being shot at by the existing government or paramilitary groups working closely with the government.

Sheepdog cries "wolf" about a so-called Palestinian genocide being committed by the Israelis while millions of real lives are hanging in the balance.

Children, Children.
Behave!

Toady- I thought you were in High School. I can't imagine you married. Does your wife know about your fixation with porn? (please don't tell me those were her photos you posted)

Not all American Jews are as culturally literate as others -they miss the richness of their cutural expression because of lack of education or lack of re-enforcing experiences. And some Jews reject the traditions of their culture as an extended form of adolescent rebellion against their parents.

I am quite sure Toady's wife (I can't even type that without cringing) is not NK. I am quite sure she has almost no educational background as an adult in Judiasm. Toady- I thought you lived in the Bay area? How can your wife have rejected all of the incredible diversity of Jewish culture here ? We've got every thing from Sholmo light and the Aquarian minyan to traditional Judaism, with secular humanistic Judaism thrown in just to confuse everyone.

Me and mine- we've added a fifth child to the traditional telling of the Passover Story of the four children (ask your wife if you don't know what I'm talking about) The fifth child is they one that has so completely rejected Judaism, that s/he doesn't even bother to show up for a seder. Is your wife that fifth child?

You wife's rejection of the traditions of her culture, for whatever reason, have colored your own outlook on Judaism. Its very, very sad to see.
