Hayes is on the take. The GOP has been writing his paycheck for years. They use him for dirty tricks to divide blacks. It seems his latest assignment is to divide black and brown, another favorite trick of the ruling class. This has Karl Rove’s fingerprints all over it.

Activists of all backgrounds should come together and mobilize to counter this early and with full force to expose Hayes for what he is. This is the same fight for those countering MM/SOS. Sorry to be an asshole... but isn't it counter productive to protest against a constituency that, in many respects, is similar to the immigrant community?

in the 1920s, during the Great Migration of African Americans from the South to the North, and West, it was rural Southern Blacks who were being blamed for putting whites out of work. Lynch mobs and community terrorism were common. They used to pick the crops. They were, and many still are, doing domestic work.

Moreover, there are poor Latinos and poor Blacks in identical situations, facing competition from immigrants, a system that fails to educate them, and a political structure that would rather imprison them than allow them to develop themselves as whole humans. (For that matter, there's are white and asian people facing the same thing, but not in the same numbers.)

If Mexicans and Central Americans go nationalist or racist on this one, and do a Brown version of the Minutemen's veiled white nationalism, it's going to cause people to drop out from being allies.

The rest of America isn't Los Angeles or NYC, and the immigrant rights movement needs political allies.

As it was righteously demonstrated in Leimert Park last weekend when uncle tom ted hayes and his neo-nazi associates were outnumbered by the local black community and their allies, the misguided black neocon niche is a minority and only gets press time because the white supremacist L.A. news media loves to create conflict between blacks and browns. It ain't gonna happen this time because unlike the my-nute men and their ignorant supporters, black and brown people aren't stupid and aren't going to fall for the okie doke. Maybe Hayes and his cadre of 5 supporters should use their time more constructively and learn their own history, so they'll see how ridiculously stupud their politics are. Or maybe they should spend some time with the neo-nazi wing of the minutemen so they can be reminded that they are black (or Latino for that matter for some of the tio tacos).
