The court will hear the farmers challenge to the evictions. The hearing is open to the public and supporters of the farm are welcome.
In related news, The LA Times is reporting that a deal where the Trust for Public Land would buy 10 of the 14 acres of the farm is on the table and the Trust has 30 days to raise the funds. The other 4 acres will be sold to the city reportedly to build soccer fields. It is not clear which 4 acres of the farm would be raised for a soccer field or if the farmers would accept this compromise deal.
